I picked IM as a team and WHO THE HELL WOULD EVER EXPECT A 4-0 unless you're like the biggest blind fanboy in the world. All my hatred goes towards IM's B team and the coach right now cause now I'm gonna LOSE points for having IM as a team.

new plan, trading for sculp + seal. and then get shuttle + some other random hoseo member. Have Tassadar sage jjakji scult seal shuttle + 1-2 others. Full on NSHs team for their last 2 series.

Hm, is that really the best way to go about it? Having multiple players that are on the same team for 2 matches? The way the point system works you'll only get like 1-2 points per player, or a lot of points from 1 player and depending on how the games go, maybe none at all while you invested in trading. Should look at the lineup for the next few weeks and probably just pick 1-2 solid players that you have a feeling will be played.

I'm afraid that I will probably be out of the top 20 after this week. I had a twilight for qxc trade lined up but couldn't pull the trigger

If you think they will definitely win then think of this way. You pretty much have their whole team. Since they will win both matches, that means
7 players = 14 points just from team win.
they have to have won 8 games together, all distributed across the players you have, so that's 16 points on top. 2 more points because the 2 finishers keep their +1 appearance without the -1 loss.
that's 32 points + any streak breaking bonus.
So all you have to think is like this, whatever other strategy you have, are they gonna make you more than a guaranteed 32 points with those player slots?
Hard to say man. It's been 5 weeks and I've got 76 points total. But I'm rank 1, so I'm not gonna keep getting lucky like that and that number isn't representative of what I could make. Plus I'll still have DRG as my captain which makes up a whopping 17 points of my score. If you go down to top 100 they've made only 50 points or so in 5 weeks, and that's like 30 points without DRG. Most of these have been riding on trading for players and teams that go against FXO (except this week of course). Trading becomes much harder the rest of the series because the game to game value drop is huge.
I don't know. It feels like kind of a reasonable strat for me since my goal isn't to take risks but to just keep making consistent points to stay at the top.

It's pretty hard to say who will play still for NSHS and I still feel like you're banking a lot on NSHS winning when they still have a pissed off IM team left to go. I think sculp and tassadar will play for sure, jjakji I'm 100% sure is their ace, and sage did well last time but there is no guarantee he will play because they just cannot risk sending him out against a protoss. Sculp and Seal are pretty low point trades so I wouldn't be against it.
Also another criticism of fantasy gstl is that the way the league is formatted trades become too important because different teams play at different times and it becomes really volatile. If you make a bad trade (but you just have to trade if you want points) you might get unlucky and will never be unable to recover by having enough points to trade back.

Well i have qxc on my team, i always believed since watching him in Day9 Friendday Wednesday.
Actually if you watch his stream, you see that his mechanics aren't the strongest but his gamesense and multitasking abilities are incredible.
He got supply blocked so often and didn't macro very well back then - but now he caught up on that. Korea definitively is starting to pay off for him.

With me getting 12 points (i think), mrbamboo around 5 points and sealock having QXC, the top just got very close. It will be interesting to see next week goes. Got to get get some Slayers player for next week.

SlayerS is the team whose strategy I found least predictable, gotta respect Cella's work for that. I will not be surprised if Cell has a Chinese-Korean-English trilingral Sun Tzu's Art on his shelf somewhere.
Because of that, I generally avoid SlayerS players, especially there aces. I think so far, that strategy has paid off. At the same time, your results show that you have the secret sause in trading that I don't get, so how do you plan to approach slayers?

Had Huk since week 1! Might trade him now due to his interview questions and not being around for much more GTSL.
On a 2nd note, I have MVP... why not reverse all kill! (As much as I want to see FXO win, not helping my fantasy!)

wtf.......I went to sleep tonight expecting a total demolishing of FXO by IM, and I wake up to see this?!?! A reverse all-kill?!?! So mad right now, who the heck were half the players IM sent out? Only guy i knew was MVP.....
so basically, i gain nothing because although Tassadar got me two points (played, won, lost, team won), IM gave it all away -_-
I also just realized that FXO would now have the same number of points as IM. fml......only good thing that came out of this was that I traded Happy for sC beforehand.
