They're the best commentators regardless of what they cast ^^ tastless doesnt even have to try just gotta say something about a wearing another nerd's face while slaying a dinosaur on a snowboard and the cast is automatically good

But as a community of esports supporters we have to realize we need BOTH starcraft for the RTS competitive game, and CS as the Fps competitive game to gain any type of mainstream appeal of esports as a whole in North America. Hopefully after VALVe releases their first truly esports focused title, DOTA 2, (cs 1.6 was still a mod that they couldn't change drastically when they acquired it, and CS: Source was NOT competitively focused.) they realize how they have a great competitive niche title in Counter-Strike. We can thank IceFrog in DOTA 2 being esports focused because he has final say in all matters and understanding what competitive players want.

CS brought mass appeal to competitive gaming for a lot of North American players when Korean esports was a bit of a mystery to the West still. Nothing in the last 10 years comes close to the team play fps competitiveness that Counter-Strike contains. I know the Team Liquid founders don't have any privy to CS, and understandably so, it was the rock hard pinnicle of North American eSports while they were trying to build a name for themselves in a much less known Starcraft North American competitive scene. Don't believe me? Go look at the 2005 US WCG qualifier footage of day9, tasteless, and Artosis with virtually no spectators. In 2005 CS was bringing huge crowds and huge prize pots. Just this year has starcraft started to overcome CS prize pots world wide, even counting Korea. You are seriously over looking the Fighting Genre, and the 1v1 DM Genre, both of which, not only had better and more consistent Americans than CS and BW, was primarily focused in America, unlike BW and CS. So maybe you should look at your own ignorance before claiming other people arent "privy" to it.

They also have a much different style than I think a standard CS caster might have. They are talking about strategy most of the time, but for CS I would expect play-by-play casting.
