For the betterment of the foreign scene, i wish:
To Win: MMA, Losira and Bomber. Foreigners need to be humiliated. They need an electroshock to start training more seriously.
To lose: - Destiny/Catz kind of players: I hope SC2 will become a compettive sport and not some kind of WWF. - InControl: bad player and full of drama. - Idra: whines too much, doesn't train enough lately.
|
Winners: All of the Koreans, I don't particularly care for the foreigner scene. Would like to see Select and TLO do well though, I do like them quite a bit.
Losers: The rest of the foreigners

Three to win:
1. Ret
Because around 1 month ago, after losing to Nani in the TSL, at probably the lowest point in his SC2 career to date, he wrote this post in the fanclub:
On April 23 2011 00:29 Liquid`Ret wrote: I don't really have much to say, but this doesnt deserve to be bumped atm, words are meaningless anyways, the only thing that counts is actions from this pt forward.
And from that point on he proceeded to tear his NASL group apart when nobody expected it. I would be the happiest man alive (well, maybe 2nd happiest =p) if he were to crown his heroic comeback with an MLG win.
2. TLO
Not much to say that hasn't been said already. The charity marathon was enough to make me a fan for life, let alone being one of the nicest personalities in the SC2 community, a Liquid member, an inspiring Terran AND one of the few foreigners to perform consistently in GSL and be competitive on the Korean scene in general.
Also, The Emperor himself is his fan.
3. QXC
There's this tendency among a good amount of TL posters to have a really short memory. QXC's play has been underwhelming lately, but he's got an actual valid excuse for it. He still managed to beat Genius and he beat SeleCT how many times now? I lost count. He was the only one that actually posed a challenge to Idra in his MLG DC landslide win. He is the premium foreign Terran, and I hope he does well enough to remind everyone of that fact.
The Close but no Cigar section:
Tyler - He's a fantastic person and player, and a Brood War legend, and on top of it he's on "my" team, and I initially had him over QXC on the list. But then I realized I don't really see the same iron man determination that Ret seems to have in him, and at least QXC has the excuse of studying abroad. I love Tyler, but I love NonY more, and he needs to stop messing with NonY's reputation. =p
Naniwa - I used to really dislike him in the past, as I dislike most people who lack basic manners and sportsmanship (and his play wasn't really awe-inspiring either). But then he changed his attitude, and he now seems to be one of the nicer people in SC2 community, he became a beastly Protoss in the process, and he has drive, ambition and the fucking GUTS required to become a true champion (yes, this is about wanting to compete on the Korean scene when so many other "top" foreigners dodge it).
As for the other category, I don't hate anyone that much that I'd want to go at length about it. That said, I won't shed a tear if Losira, Idra, Morrow and Incontrol don't do well. =P

To win: Idra MMA TLO
To lose: Major Naniwa Cruncher

to win: the koreans
i'd like continuous korean domination ^_^
to fail: the westerners, with europeans in the middle
kekekeke

Win: Bomber, Select, MMA
Lose: Moon, Tyler, Thorzain.

To win : Idra, Losira, Destiny To lose: Cruncher

To win :
Morrow : I'm a fanboy MMA : i love slayers terran Naniwa : it would be good to see a 2 times in a row champion Huk : i think he is underrated, watching his games in korea (yeah, sorry, i have 4 people :p)
To loose : Cruncher : i hate his abusive play Moon : cause he said (even if it was a joke) that korean owns white dudes, just with one tournament... Desrow : i don't like this guy at all

Moonan
He seems to have stream nerve issues, so his only on-stream play has been bad, but despite losing to Huk on stream he made it through the loser's bracket all the way to Socke before losing again. Only losses those TvPs (and he's beaten Socke since) and the TvZ consolation against Idra.
Gretorp
Sure, he abuses the english language when he casts. And yes, MLG is too generous in defending pool players in general. I've criticized it before. But you know what? It wasn't too generous to him at Dallas. The open bracket was hardly a joke, but compared to his pool? His run: (L) Kiwikaki 0-2 (L) Idra 0-2 (L) Socke 0-2 (L) Huk 1-2 (W) OptikZero 2-0 (L) Haypro 1-2 (And then beating either Vibe or Mihai - I forget which - in consolation rounds). The only player who finished behind Gretorp and beat any player of the quality Gretorp lost to was Pokebunny (who beat Sheth before losing out to Naniwa and vile.Hawk in the Open Bracket). You can't just look at records when the competition in pool play is that much harder than the open bracket. His run wasn't impressive, but the man has far more haters than he deserves over Dallas and I hope he disappoints them at Columbus.
Haypro
Staying in Korea can make it hard to break through, or judge a player. He's recently moved back to Europe ... and promptly gotten sick. Let's hope he's recovered in time for MLG. I beat Fenix too ;o

As for idra....wanting someone to lose for not practicing enough? The balance talk sure but that other part seems odd.
win:TLO, QXC, Axslav lose: no one.

Three I Want to Win:
1. LiquidTyler - I hope that he's been putting in the work he needs to play at the level he is known for. A good result will hopefully break his slump.
2. ROOTKiWiKaKi - Relatively unknown to the Korean scene. In general I want someone that Koreans don't know to do very well, and Kiwi is my favorite contender that doesn't have a lot of exposure to the Korean community.
3. LiquidHayprO - He's so good but hasn't shown results that reflect his talent. Hopefully the move back to Europe will put him in a good mindset and I hope he does very well.
4. Moriwo - Pretty cool guy.

Isn't it obvious that it DOES hurt the people that you wish loses? I wouldn't like to come into this thread and be mentioned in the losing list, it's kind of rude to be honest, some people write down quite harsh thoughts about the people they wish loses...

I hope IdrA wins frankly, would be nice to see Thorzain or someone crushing all the toss then losing to IdrA in the finals! One can only hope though ;D

Players to win:
Haypro - Would be awesome if he would have more success. I can only guess that he's put in very many practice hours in the ogs house without getting the results he really wanted in tournaments. I feel that it's only a matter of time before he starts performing well in tournaments.
Morrow - Always been one of my favourite players, even when he played terran. Been doing really well lately and feels like he's won enough silver medals since his switch to zerg that he's second only to MKP in not quite getting all the way.
Ret - Well, it's ret. Ret macro, Ret win. When he plays well it always amazes me how someone can ever get that many roaches and drones that fast.
I'm a bit sad I can't fit Sheth into my top3 because I really would like to. Seems like the nicest guy ever and plays a really fun style to watch.
To lose, hmm...
Destiny - I just don't really like this guy. He seems immature and quite overrated because he has a stream where he acts immature which amuses people.
Cruncher - Again just don't really like him. Seems childish and plays a play style I think is boring to watch.
Can't really think of anyone else for the third one. Don't really dislike any other players. Would maybe be Naniwa because I'm still not 100% convinced he has changed his old ways. However he's certainly trying and there's no denying that he's clearly one of the absolute best players outside Korea at the moment, so I'd say he deserves to do well just because of that. I like watching players who are actually good at the game win.

Let's say you would attend MLG this week and you do not want to read that people want to see you lose, why would you go in to this thread then? Combine the title of the thread + that everyone can't wish you to win it all. A simple conclusion of what you can find in here.
If a player attending MLG is so sensitive about it, it is his own fault going in to this thread. loL

hmm
win: VT members july(if its true) idra- hes doing well lately. just want him to win another title. bomber- hes top 3 terran in the world. of course he should win naniwa- the great naniwa
lose: select- just cause hes been in the top too long and usually beat opponents i want to move on hes very good though. i still think he will make top 10, he always makes it far. too bad i dont think he can ever take one of these down though.
tlo- his playstyle is becoming very cheesy instead of creative like he use to be.

ROOT will succeed and continue to show they are the best team in NA.
|
major is the most potential player in NA right now tbh. I could see him doing very well in the future.
I hope kiwi win this time, so many second place already.
|
Really would like TLO to do well, but he probably won't considering his carpal tunnel just got worse I also hope no one fails
