If you are really interested in desrow's side of the story (I apologize if I am wrong, please correct me):
He didn't jump from one team to the other, there were periods when he didn't know what he was going to do next. I started watching desrow a couple of months ago when he was still on VT. From what I understand, they were not helping him in any way (like monthly salary or trips to LANs), he was earning his pay by streaming on the team's channel. He was not getting along with his teammates anymore (I'm don't know the details) and he announced on his stream only that he and VT parted ways, but his former teammates started badmouthing him on other streams. That probably contributed to his bad image, but from what I've seen, he tried to be cool about it at first.
A few weeks later he announced that he was joining vVv, but this ended after a few days. From what desrow said on his stream, there was a misunderstanding between him and the managers: vVv wanted him to attend MLG Columbus to show results, and desrow thought they will pay his trip. When he found out that he was expected to go on his own money, he said he couldn't afford it and had to leave the team.
A few days ago, I witnessed a match between him and a RAGE player that told him they were recruiting. I assume he talked with the managers after the game and this was the result.
So it doesn't seem that desrow left one team for a better one and I think he is a cool guy. His only fault may be that he tilts easily when people talk crap about him in public (like his former teammates or the masterbreti guy). He wants to improve faster (without having to coach a lot for a living) and to attend LAN events that he cannot afford on his own. I don't see anything wrong in searching for a team that would support him in his goals.
RAGE seems to have serious intentions, so I wish good luck to RAGE, desrow and cupcake!

Yeah, listening to you daily can have that result =) I just hope that I didn't misunderstand something or said anything that was not supposed to be public (but since you announced these things on your stream, I thought it's ok)

Okay, that changes everything then.
Gl desrow, but I really hate how they call themself RAGE with only uppercase when there already is a well known organisation with the same name and uppercases too. And they have a Starcraft 2-team with EU grandmaster players too so it's not like they doesn't have something to do with SC2.
They should really change their name or at least skip the uppercase spelling.

Seriously, what's with all these sub 50 post count accounts coming out of the blue and praising Desrow? Kind of strange, no?

Auctally its the other way around.
I was once a really active desrow stream watcher before he become big and an ass (to be blunt). I was even a mod at one point in time, still am afaik (though i would have to go to the chat to use that).
anyways desrow's place in the team was in jeporady for a while. I remember the countless times he would attack one of his teammates on stream. This didn't make him popular in the VT team as most would see. He was approached a lot of times (some even while streaming) for his character, and to stop it. for some reason he contiuned to do so and the team didn't like it.
He wanted free trip to mlg and such and wanted VT to basically pay everything for him. He wasn't (and still isn't) performing at a high level and so they did not take him, nor did they auctally have the money to take him, as VT doesn't exactly have huge pockets.
So after that desrow basically went on a giant bashing spree of other players insulting whiplash more often than anyone else. He was confronted about it and kicked.
There was no annoucment, no explaination of what happend until whipalsh was doing a Q&A with people on his stream and it was asked about 2-3 days later. He said that Desrow was kicked because he backstabbed and would bash teammates behind their backs, mirhi confronted him about it, desrow lied and was promtly kicked from the team. iirc Azz (though it might have been someone else) was auctally on the stream as well and said the same thing, even providng some examples that I cannot remember at this moment.
A few days later after he left VT, he had created a thread about something, it was his one of many that he created and was banned for even (was unbanned due to paying for another thread).
people asked why he was no longer in VT. I had simply replied that he was kicked and I wouldn't get into speicfics as to why, even though I knew at the time.
I got an angry pm from him a hour or two later demanding me to edit my post. Not being exactly manner in the process. Insulting me numerous times in the process. In his attempt to keep his bm ways out of pulbic eye so to speak.
The topic was closed by chill saying it was a shameless attempt at self promotion on desrow's part.
See I wouldn't have written all this if he hadn't been rude and he didn't insult me via pm. now telling to go die in a pit is another colorful way he approaches people.
|
Why desrow is featured, has viewers, a following, or anything at all is beyond me. He's incredibly bad mannered, and doesn't even perform remotely well in anything.

super stoked to see thomasg play sc2 (wc3 fanboy here) not so stoked to see jabba join though, i feel hes week and has a bad attitude

Even if i played for RAGE and i was one of their 1st players back in the beta and after release, i think they need an full functionally website and not the promises that "we'll do it" and "soon will be ready". There is more than an year and the website is not ready yet. No offence, but if darky wanna make that team known he must work not only on recruiting 2-3 players every 3 months or so.
In rest ... GL boys and do u`r best ! Peace !
Hey Cristi, replacing players is normal once you get to a point where they want salaries starting from 200EU which we can't always afford or the players aren't worth being payed that much.
Also, RAGE e-Sports has been around since 28.02.2000 and is know for it's CoD teams.

I didn't see desrow attacking them on stream, and I was also watching him a lot. Maybe I just missed it... Anyway, I said everything I know, so there's no point in dragging this further.
I just hope that people who don't know anything about desrow would watch his stream for a couple of hours and make their own opinion. I enjoy him talking almost all the time, explaining his builds and making jokes (I prefer this to watching more famous players that only put music). Maybe because of this I've overlooked some of his faults, but I simply can't see him as a bad person overall, whatever people say about his past.
This is desrow's chance to prove himself to everybody, one way or the other. He now has a supportive team and the possibility to attend LANs, so there cannot be any more excuses. GL desrow!
