FXO is so awesome for doing this! Maybe this will trigger other foreign teams to take a shot at GSTL as well.

I think people are forgetting that SlayerS has rode players you hadn't heard of to 2 Team League championships. And their best player is still in Code A. Team Leagues & Individual Leagues are very different beasts. That and FXO is getting there early enough that they should be able to get comfortable with the Korean scene.

So, no one knows what'll happen, which makes it all the more fun. SC2 is much more a strategic than mechanical game, so most of the work happens before you start the game, in these leagues. Should be rocking. And we'll get to see them every week, I think.

Oh, and hopefully some of there guys can make a run in Code A as well.

best news ever! And I love GomTV's opportunities they give to foreign players and teams. Thanks so much. And it's not important if FXO will have success or not, it's important that they try. This takes guts and is a big step for foreign E-Sports.

I really really hope Qxc gets back in top shape before his matches, I believe he is the best player on the team when he is "on".

Go win!

Oh, and borrow Sase if he's in Korea at the right time.

Yea well hes been travelling/ studying in spain i doubt hes had much time to practice, and even at his top form i doubt he practice 10+ hours a day with a whole team at his disposal i think he will become a beast in korea.

QXC arrived home from studies yesterday! he is an absolute machine once he has nothing but sc2 to focus on

All the best but there is not alot of depth to current FXO lineup. When you have a caster in your GSTL lineup you know something's wrong. Anyways, I really hope FXO can prove me wrong, would be great if they could make a deep run I just don't see it as likely.

Umm if FXOWolf is the same SW)Wolf from SCBW, hes a beast, caster or not.

Wow whats with all the negativity? This is damn amazing...

FXO is a damn good sponsor to do this for their players. Despite the fact that I agree their line up may not be on par with say, EG, they still have some incredible players with huge potential. Sheth, qxc, MoONaN and OpTiKzErO are all already amazing players or rising stars. I can't imagine how much they will benefit from participating in GSTL and practicing together in a team house environment.

We should all be thanking FXO for supporting e-sports and making sure foreign interest still remains in Korea, regardless of the outcome of the tournament.

People are such negative nancies.

Props to FXO for having the courage ( and some will say budget) to do such a risky thing. Best of luck and hopefully you'll surprise all of us.

Wow this is pretty awesome;

Everyone doubted SlayerS and look what they have achieved; so i am hoping something along the lines of a "Boxer effect" comes about for FXO's team lineup!

I will be very interested to see how this turns out! Either way, it is another step towards a cohesive esports scene including Korea and the Foreign scene

This is completely different, Boxer had purposely been scouting for unknowns with raw talent, the FXO team is entirely different. In fact we've seen plenty from most players already and what we've seen haven't been all that convincing except for Sheth.

That's good to hear! His form had definitely dropped off while in Spain... but that should have been a *given*.

We'll see how everyone is doing at MLG in just a week. Should be fun! (Well, PRAYING HARD the stream works)

i have a feeling theyre just gonna get all killed by some unknown scrub from slayers ogs or IM. probably EG or dignitas would be able to even compete with the korean teams

We were 2-3 with EG in ESEA

have u considered recruiting "mercenaries" from TLAF-Liquid powerhouse in Korea? i think Jinro and Huk would mean more to you than oGs, team that is always number one favorite to win the damn thing (with so maaaany big names and what not)

This is in absolutely no way meant as a diss towards FXO, as I have had nothing but positive experiences with them, but I would never play for them as long as the option of playing for oGs was there, and it is... The house is oGs-TL, oGs are my team mates not FXO.

Thats how I feel anyway, even if the oGs line-up is strong enough that I couldnt play I would feel the same, its just what happens when you live with a team 24 hours a day.

I dont really know much about any of the FXO players apart from Moonglade, and a little bit Sheth, but I dont think they should be underestimated - having an entire team in the GOM house is gonna make practice conditions VERY different. Team league is a lot about planning too.

WOWOWOWOW look at all these negative responses... I'm astonished on how non-supportive this community is acting. The last thing people should have in their minds is how well they are gonna do, the most important thing to understand is how big of a step this team has taken. This is the example of the correct mindset of a professional gamer, they are gonna try to grab the Korean scene by the balls, these guys are investing in their players by relocating to Korea for two months to achieve a more effective practice environment and a shot at the GSTL.

MAD FUCKING PROPS... truly what the Western scene needs, a team with fucking balls to pursue their dreams. Hope to see great games from you guys and best fucking luck out there in the battlefield.

I have a ton of respect for FXO for having the guts to undertake such a huge task, and for taking the road not travelled thus far. Whether they do poorly, or well, it will be an experience for them, and for us viewers. Good luck guys!

I'm glad you cleared that up actually. I will add that to the OP as I'm sure a lot of people are wondering about the mercenary situation.

Good news. Sort of expected it after seeing your interview back when you and moonglade were in korea, and was basically confirmed when Mr Chae said there was going to be a Foreign team in Korea for GSTL. Great news, i am glad to see more foreigners in Korea and the GSL!

From the gom post it sounded as if your players will be staying in the GOM house? What does this mean for the FXO house in Malaysia, and for people like Carn trying to qualify for regular GSL seasons?
