But i dont know. I kinda think it defeats the purpose of a team league? But still on the fence. The #'s and odds are stacked pretty heavily against you. All of the other teams have had some more practice in the GSL in terms of some comfort zone. Couple that with larger teams all around, and FXO has an uphill battle in an already tough league to begin with. Picking up a couple of extra people to bolster the ranks and lighten the load should be completely sought after. Kind of, but I have capable players, I have my snipers sorted out also. I am very organised for this event. Introducing huk and jinro players would just slap a few players in the face in my team. Is good for spectators, bad for team morale. That being said, I have 3-4 players on the same/similar level as those two. I love jinro and huk applaud the hell out of them for actually making korea work rather than being upset about it. Also, I dno if those 2 would be the greatest as mercs, as they are on another team. It could lead to internal sniping.. Hyperthetically of course. I have to look after the interests of my own team. And at the moment I am still on the fence. If I pick up one of the new players i am tallking to, then its most likely our lineup is pretty much set for a proper team league, with players for races players for maps and aces/clutch. I think it will come to fruition, which will probably make the team look a bit more rounded to the spectator community. But I am very happy with my current lineup. With the upcoming MLG and prac before/after i think we will be more than ready to compete at the top level. Maybe first game will be a bit shaky with the whole tv experience, but a few of our players thrive in that environment.
I should've clarified slightly. While I'm not encouraging picking up non-fxo people to be recruited and used as some hybrid team, it is something that should've been considered it simply to show an understanding of possible depth issues. The fact that you're willing to state you have other people you're possibly recruiting is all I needed to hear. My concern was with the current team listing you just wouldn't be deep enough to provide well rounded practices, snipers, etc...
I also think the last paragraph you mentioned will be the hardest thing for FXO to get over. Getting used to playing in a LAN event is hard enough. Couple in live teleivision in the likes of GSTL and it's even more nerve wracking I imagine. The first few nights might be reeeeally dicey until people can find their comfort zone.

That's the thing, it is being 'expected' to be 11 teams...sounds to me like one of the teams isn't too happy about all the foreign stuff. Oh well, damn these speculations, I'll just wait My information is one of the teams doesnt have enough members. Which team, though? The only team out of the 10 that hasn't been in the GSTL is Ho Seo, but there was a video a few days ago and they had 10/11 guys. I didn't dig into it, because it was a bit last minute and I had to find flights / support for us to go to GSTL... I am paying for the initial investment on my own debit card.. The processes of getting such funding are too slow to get this done in time. Our members will start arriving in seoul on the 11th..
U sir deserve an sc2 nobel prize. kudos to you and your team for taking that leap of faith. go to seoul and show them who is the fuckin BoSs

On another note, we will be challenging OGS/TL to a soccer match at one stage.. Both tgun and I used to be high level soccer players..
So Mr Huk, BRING IT! BoSS dropping the bomb! Good luck sir. We'll we cheering you on weekly! Btw, there going to be a way to buy some FXO swag? Gotta ask. Haha, I'm a few thousand miles from Columbus as the moment, so I can't quite take you up on that, but rock it there! You really are prepped for this. That's so absolutely awesome. Carpe Diem.

ah, yes its a tricky one. scenario one, you either come with great new names and fail (like oGs) or ride the underdogs team spirit to victory (like SlayerS). scenario two, strong names bring strong perfomances, and you go on to make success. longterm maybe its more prudent to go with first scenario, either win or lose. but who knows what could FXO success mean to GSTL and the team in general, should u go with second scenario...
p.s. what about imbaFXO, will their new star player lead the charge from the flank, while u guys hold the front?

FXO, are your players planning on trying to qualify for the GSL while they're there as well? Do you know if GOM is gonna go back to giving out some automatic seeds to foreigners or will your players have to qualify the hard way?
|
Go FXO! Show us whos BoSS! Best of luck, I'm sure you'll perform amazing feats, as well as gain an unforgettable experience

This is great news. I can't judge how well the FXO team would do, but with all the negativity from westerners about Korea recently, I'm glad to see an entire team get it together and take a gamble.

Wow this is pretty awesome;
Everyone doubted SlayerS and look what they have achieved; so i am hoping something along the lines of a "Boxer effect" comes about for FXO's team lineup!
I will be very interested to see how this turns out! Either way, it is another step towards a cohesive esports scene including Korea and the Foreign scene

GL FXO. I hope Moonglade can participate. With QXC, Moonan, Sheth, Moonglade there are at least 4 good foreigners there. Also, i suspect that their new player could be T-pain. He said he wanted to go o korea at some point and LG is gone now. Or mabye Inka? Bue i doubt Inka would leave the US. If they could get the other foreign layers such as Naniwa, they have quite a good lineup to at least go korean teams a run for their money.

Expanded GSTL? Yes please, foreigner teams? YES!
Good luck FXO and I hope to see more foreigner teams in the future

This is great news! Give 'em hell!

Can't wait to see qxc own some koreans!
