I have a question if OP is still reading this. Will you be putting the stream on loop after it's done for the night? I work weekends during the MLG streams and always try to catch the restream, but I think either last MLG or more likely the one before the stream didnt really get looped or didnt show all the matches that were in the original stream.

Thank you very much for the response I really love watching MLG, and it makes me sad that I always have to work when the actual broadcast is happening, but it's also very nice to come home from work, grab a beer and watch the restream

Yes, there will be an overnight rebroadcast of the previous day. More deets on this soon.
I couldnt find an option to vote for the eagles - I know this is just for the secondary stream so Im wondering if they are shown most of the time on the main stream this time around again?
On a related note, have they ever stated how many viewers exactly went and crashed the Dallas stream? (Except the non-committal "twice as many as expected" I mean)

Looks like one of the major issues with earlier MLGs have been addressed.
Not nearly as much downtime between games.
Add to that a poll, where we the viewers get to decide which games will be streamed, Tasteless and Artosis, and very interesting Korean invites and you suddenly have what sounds to be one of the most exciting events I have yet to come across.
:X nearly 2 awesome matches in every group, personally I would love to see zergs in every cast, however, I know not everyone will, thus I strongly suggest not having it one race too heavy or not.
I really like the MLG outreach, unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to columbo but I'll be @ anaheim!!
Seems to me like this poll allows you to vote multiple times from the same IP. In fact I've done it already 10+ times on the lowest ones just to check and the % voted for increased each time. Otherwise thanks for the poll!

The fact that Select-Tyler is losing out to Kiwi-MMA baffles me. Sure Kiwi is well known, especially in MLG, but Select-Tyler has a longer history tourney wise and should be more interesting IMO

True. Its not a game you watch to see amazing skills. Its a match with history and should be interesting none the less.

I think it's more about seeing MMA rape some face then actually wanting to see Kiwi.

Both kiwi and MMA are top class players. Select is really good, but tyler has nothing to show for in sc2 so far. The poll results aint supprising at all to anyone who really follows the scene.

If we have a look at the matchup we get to watch : 2 TvZ 3 ZvZ 3 PvZ

4 TvZ 1 PvT 3 ZvZ 3 PvZ
No TvT, no PvP ? 4 Toss matchup, 7 zerg matchup and 5 terran matchup ?
I feel those numbers are quite uneven, that + the fact that I can't see Tyler plays

People like to see skill above all else. Everyone is super interested in seeing how the Koreans will fare, plus Tyler isn't really as good at SC2 as any of the other games being casted. He has a large fanbase so I'm sure we'll see some of his games casted on Day 2.

The Tyler point was more a personal thing. I just feel like there is other interessing players to watch instead of seeing iNc and Losira PvZ twice for example.
Pool C in the MLG looks amazing! Voted for Tyler vs SeleCT. Also looking at the complete schedule i practically had a nerdgasm! Final Boss vs Impact in Halo, Resistance vs Next Threat and IdrA vs Bomber all at the same time! how can i watch them all
Plus all the people saying Tyler ain't great at SC2 are unbelievers, I've seen him smash great players, he's twice (or more I forget) got Top 6 at MLG and I believe he will win an MLG this year. His frustration with his recent performance is obvious and I know he'll step it up.
Kicking it off with idra v bomber. So sick, so smart.

MLG release replays in prior tourneys, so I'd expect the same unless there's an announcement saying otherwise.
MMA vs Kiwikaki WAY better than Select vs Tyler. There are plenty of times im sure in the future where we will see select and tyler collide as they are both NA players, but MMA vs Kiwikaki is extremely rare. Only 4 koreans got invited, and whats the point of inviting them if you dont see them play with the very best of MLG players
do they really suggest, that they are trying to show a whole game per hour ? Dont get me wrong, i would be very happy to see that, alone i cant believe it.

Just think about it: What would be the end result if IdrA was available for all slots? He has the largest active following(*1) and thus the most votes whenever he is up to be voted on. Would that make "all IdrA games" a good schedule? Not really, because choice / variation is also a good thing to have.
Going always with the top vote only is kinda like the british electoral system, where the guy with the most votes gets the seat in parliament and all the votes for other people dont count towards anything anymore (and thus their opinion isnt really represented in parliament).
(*1) No idea if that is true, but lets pretend it is anyways ...

That is called democracy. It has only been used for thousands of years by most every prominent civilization. If you have a better idea, I would be glad to hear it. Idra may have a huge following but so do all the players. It's no one's fault but the fans, if they don't support their favorite players by voting.

Wait, I'm confused as hell, is there not going to be equal championship bracket player representation on the main stage?
Some players have no bolded matches while others have multiples, some players aren't even listed as an option in the votes(some who I'd like to see on the main stage). Why are players in the championship bracket not getting at least some slight equal representation on the main stage, or perhaps it'll even itself out over the course of the event.
This largely happened last time too where I ended up seeing a bunch of games I sort of wasn't too keen on and missed a ton of games I would have wanted to see on the main stage. Just wondering why it seems some players get snubbed off the main stage...
How will I sleep? Seriously? How will I ever get sleep that weekend? Luckily there is a 4 day vacation period from Thursday to Sunday. I have to watch every game. I will have to watch every game.

No there is not. Air time is a rescource which must pay off. They chose to show matches that will likely attract the most viewers.

Eh, then I still have to question the decision of main stage selections...
No Kiwikaki games defaulted...
inControl vs Machine defaulted...
Haypro vs Losira defaulted... I can't see that being anything other than a steamroll for Losira.

Well there is no "one true form of democracy". If you had read the comment about the british electoral system you might have noticed that. In Germany we have TWO votes in our democratic system. One will elect a candidate and the other goes towards a party and I will still be represented in parliament. Thus even if my candidate doesnt win he only takes "half" the electoral potential, because the other part will directly go to the party. This should be enough to show that there are different ways of doing things - even in democracy - unlike you seem to claim. I think there have been times in Britain, where the ruling party had less votes in total than another party, but due to the nature of the seats they still had a majority ...
A "good system" might be to give people more than one choice and to vote for favorite players. Then you take the total number of votes and go through the matches while looking for popular players, BUT once you have had a player on the central stage he would be moved to the last spot of the selection. Obviously there arent all possible combinations of players available, so some compromise has to be made, but I think that might be a good way to give every player a chance to be on the central stage instead of only the popular 3-5 ones.
In any case I dont think that it was a great idea to let people choose matches, because this will kinda "take choice away from MLG" because they are under pressure of public opinion now and people will whine "but match X vs. Y was more popular" whenever they have to schedule something differently. Thus voting for player popularity removes several problems: - popular players getting voted for more than once - MLGs choice of matches being forced
I dont think specific matchups should be listed for the main stage, simply because this makes the schedule too dependant upon the speedy play of some participants. Imagine if there is a long series - off stage - with one contestant who is scheduled for the main stage next. All of the games are 45 minutes long, thus there would be a delay of at least 30+ minutes for the main stage stream. Now add the whining of kids for their "most popular matchup" I mentioned above and you have bad vibes which are the result of "promising" to show a specific match.
I hope this helps with finding a "better system" by pointing out potential flaws in this one ...

Actually there is a "one true form of democracy" it is the pure democracy in the greek sense. Where everyone who cares to vote has an equal vote. Which is what we are doing here by time slot. The american and british systems are variations on the theme of democracy.
MLG obviously doesn't think it is taking away their options, well at least no so tying their hands that would prevent such a system. they are only doing it for friday night not for the entire tournoment
Erhm, is it just me or can you vote unlimited number of times in the same poll? I just tried voting for TLO vs. Losira 10 times, results changed, or at least appeared to have changed.
You might want to fix that so you don't get trolled
I definitely think letting users vote for second stream is an excellent idea and I think other tournaments with group play should consider adding this.
In reference to music playing when the players come out, in Incontrol v Machine, I feel something by Rage Against the Machine is appropriate.
Wow, its amazing to see MLGs response to their "failed" production at Dallas. (It wasnt so much fail, but it could have been much better ^_^.) They are really making an attempt to connect with the community and provide top notch service for Columbus production.

No, I voted for what seems like a more even match over what will obviously be a steamroll.
And I voted for a rematch between two of the best foreign player for their respective races over a rematch I don't really care about...
It's arguable either way, the point is... Why not allow the option? And why are some players not given even an option to be voted for if they aren't given a default slot as well, there's no way to see them on the main stage.
If Tyler vs. Select is broadcast over MMA vs. Kiwi i will cry. Tyler has been in a slump recently and i see Select taking that easily. But I really want to see how Kiwi holds up to MMA.
Only 28 matches from the group stage are listed in OP. There is a total of 40 matches in group stage (excluding the players from Open bracket).
Are the other 12 matches played on Saturday? If yes, what's the schedule and will any of these 12 matches be streamed? - I couldn't find this info anywhere.
Machiene vs Incontrol. The match of a life time, the one your friends will make fun of you if u miss. The clash of two titans, all who watch will perish in the glory of the epic flames of raw talent that will spew from their eyeballs as the two maxed forces clash!
