GuineaPig and DongRaeGu – ‘The round of 4 will be our true test.’

- Your thoughts on making the round of 4?
(GuineaPig) – As the coach mentioned during this match, we believe that the PRIME team is strong, but we also believed that we could beat them. If DongRaeGu was sent out first, we may have had an all-kill. For me, I thought our win was inevitable.
(DongRaeGu) – I had a feeling that we would advance. The last opponent left was Marineking so that was a bit hard for me, but I am happy that I was able to overcome that challenge.

- What was your predicted score?
(GuineaPig) – I thought it would be either 4:0 or 4:3. Tails is pretty scary when he catches on fire, so I thought if he won the 1st set, he would get at least 2 or 3 kills. If he lost, I knew this game would go until the end.
(DongRaeGu) – 4:3. I felt like it would go to the 7th set, so I was preparing myself for the last match. I don’t know why but I really felt that I would face Marineking for the last match today.

- It seemed like playing random helped you out.
(GuineaPig) – I have been playing random for a while so I can’t really feel the advantages. I have been playing all 3 races then I chose to play one race, but as per my coach’s suggestion, I played random.

- Is it hard for you to practice for all the matchups with all three races?
(GuineaPig) – I don’t plan to random for much longer. Whether it takes a long time or a short time, I will find the right race that fits me.

- We have not seen you in the regular season yet.
(DongRaeGu) – Strangely, in the preliminaries, luck hasn’t really been with me. Whether it happened to be the games or the surroundings, I wasn’t able to really focus in the past.

- This is your first time in the GSTL, how do you feel?
(GuineaPig) – This is the first time in the team league, and I hope we can continue to be in it. It is really fun, and I have been looking forward to it.
(DongRaeGu) – My reason for joining MVP was to play in the team league. Our debut happened to be this season, so I am really happy.

- To participate in the next season, you will need to retain your GSL points. Are you confident that your (team) can retain the points?
(GuineaPig) – Since I am not in either code, I cannot say anything about retaining points. I believe DongRaeGu will advance this time for sure. As for myself, if I have some luck, I will probably advance as well.
(DongRaeGu) – Our team has really high skill but a lot of our players have not gotten through the preliminaries yet. I predict at least 3 more players will get through this time around.

- Your goal in the GSTL?
(GuineaPig) – Goals are meant to be set high, so I want to win.
(DongRaeGu) – To win.

- The team that will be hardest to face?
(GuineaPig) – In the round of 4, we will face either oGs or StarTale so I believe that will be our true test.
(DongRaeGu) – Of course, I also believe the round of 4 will be our toughest test. If we get to the finals, I think the opponent will be SlayerS but I am confident.

- Any last comments?
(GuineaPig) – I want to thank our coach’s mother for preparing great food for us whenever we need it.
(DongRaeGu) – I want to thank our coach for pulling our team along, and of course my teammates.

MC – ‘I believe in my forcefields.’

- Your thoughts on making the round of 4?
I am really happy. Hero disappointingly lost but overall the game was played well so I hope he doesn’t fret about it and shows even better games in future broadcasted matches.

- It seemed like you made some mistakes in the match against Ace.
My hand wasn’t really warmed up so I had some mistakes.

- If Ace didn’t make a mistake as well, what do you think will have happened?
The robotics build is weak against the blink stalker build so I think it would have been ok.

- You came out pretty fast today.
Recently, our team has had a tough time against protosses. I am confident in my PvP matchup and my coach also wanted me to go out there. I felt like even if I lost after the first match, as long as I got all the protoss players in the other team, we could clean up the rest.

- You did a base trade with July.
It was something I experienced a lot in practice. If July had gotten the burrow upgrade I would have lost. I can always rely on my forcefields so I was able to win. I think base trades are always fun.

- You showed some ceremonies today.
Unlike the GSL, in the team league, ceremonies help swing the team atmosphere back around, and there is a lot more space to do something, so I always have that in the back of my mind. I will make sure to continue showing more in the future. I didn’t prepare anything special prior to the match. But after winning the first game, I saw the chair so I improvised, after the second, TOP helped me out with that. And after the last set, I remembered HyuN and wanted to do a drunken ceremony but that was really hard to do on the spot.

- There’s talk that there has been a lot of changes in team style in the team house.
A lot has changed. We have changed practice hour schedule about three times already, and there have been a lot of opinions and some arguments. But our coach is always happy to lend an ear to player’s opinions so I am thankful to him. Because of our recent changes to our practice system, I believe we will get to the finals this time.

- You will be facing MVP (the team) in the round of 4.
As long as we can take out GuineaPig quickly, I think we can win. Having a random player on the team can make the team much more powerful. They also have Genius but overall their protoss line is pretty weak. And as long as we get out all the protoss out of the way, the rest of my team can take care of the other players since we are good at taking out terrans.

- On the opposite bracket, SlayerS and fOu advanced.
SlayerS as a team have a great work ethic, and have great balance in their race distributions. But I guess their zergs are their weakpoint. As for fOu, they are a one man team with sC. As long as you beat sC you can beat that team. In the last tournament when we lost to SlayerS I was pretty angry. So I want to face them again in the finals to take my revenge. If we face SlayerS in the finals, I want to go out there first and score an all-kill.

- So far, the team that has gone to beat oGs has won the finals of the team league.
I thought that our match today was the true finals. We are pretty friendly with StarTale, and we will respond with a championship in their stead.

- Do you have a lot of ambition for the upcoming super tournament?
I want to cement my status as the number 1 rank in both tournament winnings and GSL points, so it is an important tournament for me. Many tournaments will overlap with this one so I think it will be a tough road for me. I will put the super tournament at the top of my priorities and make sure that I can win there. I feel like I can win this time.

- Any last comments?
Hero put forth a lot of effort in practice, so I hope he can win the next time. Zenio also performed well. The coach and manager were both worried sick about this match, so I am glad we were able to win today. I want to thank all the fans, and I want to send my love to both my mother than my girlfriend. Today is SuperNova’s birthday so I am glad we can party with a good feeling (after winning).
