Yeah same here. If it's bad for me in the US, I can't imagine how it is for people outside of the US lol. Nevermind it's back

I think that its a bit "low" (for a lack of a better word) to start a total ripoff show of State of the game just so you can earn more money through sponsorship.... (or whatever the reason was) by setting up an almost identical show....and also taking one of the most important part of STOG (incontrol and also idra) and mash it into a new show..... It looks really bad in my eyes...... not cool EG.....

Thank you djWHEAT!
My thoughts. I'm always interested in what's happening behind the scenes and making what we all enjoy run smoothly (or not). This is only my 2nd time watching and I like what I've seen so far.

Oh well... at least we know the truth now.

Isn't it common knowledge that r/starcraft is just bad memes and drama?

I would like to say a few things:
1) THANK YOU for asking the community to stop with the "ESPORTS is going to die if you do (blank)" talk. It gets so annoying when people say that Destiny breaking a contract is going to kill esports. I've been saying it for a while when I couldn't handle the sheer ineptitude shown by people in the past, but finally you and incontrol have told a good 3500 people to please stop. That might make a dent in things.
2) I'm really glad you brought Alex on to talk about incontrol leaving State of the Game. The way he explained it makes a lot of sense. SOTG presented a situation where there would be direct conflict of interest with sponsors, you moved Incontrol to another show that didn't conflict (which you just happened to have to make), and that's basically it. No one left on bad terms, and Alex is reinforced that idea today. I'm glad for that.
As far as "They're so competing, it's on Tuesday," SOTG is on at what, 10:00pm? I think the timeblocks could go ITG to SOTG with maybe an hour and a half of a break between or so. And that's assuming that JP isn't moving it, which is speculation until JP says anything about it. I'd think that JP will move it to prevent any kind of viewer loss, and if he doesn't, I don't think there will be much of a loss at all.
Overall, thank you so much for this episode. Hopefully people will listen and understand. They probably won't, but here's to hoping.

So in the end, SOTG with its 10-15k viewers gets heavily damaged, ITG with its 4-6k takes 1/2 the speakers to a new show with a completely different style......
All because of sponsor issues?......
They essentially killed the most popular podcast in SC2

Ya, ITG draws way less people than SOTG ever did.

"Gee willickers" - I would have appreciated that straight statement in the beginning Geoff :| Now there's a NFL trade analogy - this makes even less sense. I am truly puzzled here.

Well, EG wasn't his to begin with and he picked up the CS juggernaut that coL had put together. He's done a very good job since then, but "ground up" isn't quite true.

whats this all about? incontrol and sponsor issues making him withdraw from SotG? could someone explain please

Obviously I haven't been paying too much attention to this drama crap because I don't give a shit but can someone point me to the posts where people say sotg made incontrol? I missed those

Yeah, because guess what, ITG doesnt talk about tournaments, doesnt talk about drama, people dont bash each other for fun, they talk about sentries man, and rally points.

I like iNcontroL, but at some point the straw-man arguments need to end. He always feels the need to exaggerate the negative things/comments, or at least focus on them. Most of us aren't trying to troll you at all times. Some of us have more or less legitimate concerns. Ignore the people using ridiculous hyperbole or name-calling, insults, etc.
I have a weird feeling about EG. I like iNcontroL, most of the time (or rather most of the time I love him). I also like SirScoots, particularly after the interview at... Columbus? People like Machine and Axslav, I don't mind them at all. I do sort of dislike Idra, but I think most of the SC2 fanbase "sort of" dislikes Idra. But despite all of this, I don't like EG as an organization. I'm not sure it makes sense.
