In effect they are a group who are now acting as internet bullies and whose primary motivation appears to be malice towards reddit/Starcraft community. These people emailing sponsors from SRS didn't even watch In The Game and they hate Destiny too. They just love using the power they have to hurt the SC2 community. There is really only one response to that sort of community, which is for managers/owners to quietly tell reddit to start moderating them heavily or teams/events will need to find alternative ways to dealing with them. Internet lynch mobs are not acceptable and this sort of harassment needs to be reigned in, either by reddit itself or legal action. SRS would never get away with what they were doing if they were harassing a college athlete or normal person. Someone would file a claim or TRO against reddit to force them to deal with them. | ||

Drama about slayers boom 113 pages but at least on TL it's kinda civil and people are a bit more reasonnable than reddit where the upvote system encourage sheep-like mentality and it ruins everything | ||

Anyway I'm thinking I'm starting to miss the point in these arguments. Is all this drama seriously because LoL or DOTA 2 is going/already be a more popular game than SC2? Why do people care, I'm not going to play or watch a game I dislike just because it's more popular. I don't want the game I like to change to cater to those people who aren't interested in the game anyway. The way SC2 is at the minute is ideal to me. Tournaments pretty much everyday, talk shows about the game, players in grandmasters streaming constantly around the clock and sometimes with commentary. Sure somethings could change for the better of everyone. But realistically why are we theorizing about what could happen when we have no control over it. | ||

IF dreamhack was going on right now, you would clearly see the viewership difference between SC2 stream and LoL stream... SC2 stream with 20k viewers and LoL with 200k viewers... | ||

Do you read the threads on reddit? There is some with sheep like mentality, but hey that is easily here also on LR. | ||

If you actually listen to what iNcontroL said about destiny before he came on the show, and take it with the grain of salt that is required for almost any words coming out of his mouth you'll see that he was in fact hamming it up.
