This interview is tough because you can't tell when MC is joking and combined with the indirect translations it's kind of tough to tell what he's really saying. A lot of the answers are pretty ambiguous because of this

Totally agree. Without proper context and translations, alot of what he says can be misinterpreted.
That's why video interviews (when possible) can be much better, you have his facial expressions so you can tell what his intentions were.

I don't see what isn't "proper" about the translations.....everything seemed pretty straight forward to me; when he was joking, when he wasn't, etc.....

I really don't know what you guys are looking for to be honest, it seems you want an oGs.MC thought projection or something magical that just isn't ever going to happen.

What about naniwa?

I guess he found out the hard way that the skill gap between top koreans and top foreigners is not really that big... I am pretty sure he will acknowledge Thorzain from now on.

Lol come on dude,1 good performance in MLG doesnt instantly make u whitera good, bit of biased patriotism there, some people like nani, socke and hasu deserve more praise tbh, and its kinda hard for MC to acknowledge a player he never saw in his life...

You call 3-2 rolling someone? Some bold statement there. It was a dreadfully close series, I don't like this kind of statements that plagued the LR, they downplay how good that series was, particularly game 4.

Though the series sounds close, in reality Thorzain really outmanouvered, outmicroed and plain totally pwned MC in every way.. even in the game he lost -- game 4 -- it was Thorzain who did the most stunning micro, the player who left almost everyone in awe of his play.

I'd like to have his thoughts on Thorzain, that player came out of nowhere (at least for me) and showed incredible play, even that Tal Darim game he lost was mindblowing to watch.

So basically, mostly players he has had experience with in Korea and abroad, 5 of the 8 WC players. :p

I think this is just a matter of not following the EU/NA scene all too closely.

It's usually one of those players, in particular White Ra, who is top or near top at EU/NA events, so I don't see your point.
[/i]

Yeah it's either they were/are code S or players in the world championship.

I'm pretty sure White-ra practices 10 hrs/day now, whoever was saying he doesn't practice enough to be as good as MC. And who's to say he is not better than MC? We know White-ra has more than 1 or 2 base play. Does MC? This is a pretty important question to answer since his aggressive 2 base plays are no longer as effective and + Show Spoiler +

I think that judging from game 4 of the TSL series against Thorzain we can definitely say that MC has a decent macro game up his sleave (also from the group games a while back against Jinro in the GSL). It's obviously not his preferred play style, but if a game goes to that stage he can stand up to the best of them.

MC has definitely won his share of long games. People don't associate him with that because he so often ends the game early, but thats just because his micro is good enough that his early aggression is very dangerous. But he very rarely does a true all-in, and most of his builds transition well into the mid and late game.
