After having earned the nickname - Suicide.Toss in Starcraft BroodWar, renowned Starcraft 2 professional, oGs.MC has turned around to be the destroyer of worlds. Now known as Boss.Toss, MC has been able to take multiple tournament titles with a hunger that seems to rival that of only the bonjwa' of SC:BW. Recently, Cameron 'fams' Carson had the opportunity to catch up with MC for an interview just after DreamHack where MC took first place. The two had the following to say...
Hello MC, how are you doing, what have you been up to recently aside from practicing Starcraft 2? Our team practices from from Monday to Saturday. From Saturday afternoon onwards to Sunday, we will have a break. During the break, I will rest and also meet up with my girlfriend. ^^
Speaking of your practice schedule though, could you give us a “day in the life” of MC and what your practice regime is like? I wake up at 11am in the morning and have a meal between 11am to 12pm. Practice is from 12pm to 4:30pm. I will either exercise or do other leisure activities from 4:30pm to 7pm, and practice from 7pm to 11pm. From 11pm to 3am I practice freely on my own, and go to bed at 3am. Hm, basically I make good use of the ladder game and our practices were made easy with my teammates through the customized game.
You recently made it to the Round of 8 in the TSL 3 tournament, not dropping a single map. Do you think you will have trouble with any of your potential opponents in the rest of the tournament? I am prepared for every match, so I don’t have thoughts of either losing or struggling in a match. I think I’ll probably advance to the Round of 4 easily.
It is no secret you did not think very highly of your first opponent, ieS-Ciara, are there any foreign players you are close to the top tier levels of Korean play? What about White-Ra, he recently beat you in the GSL World Championship tournament, but then you turned around and 3-0’ed him in the TSL 3, what are your thoughts on him as a fellow Protoss player? Presently, the foreign players that I acknowledge are IDRA, diMAGA and MorroW from Zerg, Jinro from Terran, Huk and White-Ra from Protoss. I think they are really no different from Koreans.

ALSO - I am looking for suggestions of who to interview next, I've done WMF.Moon and now oGs.MC (I have been harping for NaDa for a long time, and will continue doing so, the same goes for BoxeR) but any other Korean players (or non Korean) that you guys wish to see interviewed?

I wish he gave Kiwikaki the respect he gives White-ra... I think those two are pretty much on the same level as far as foreign protoss players go. I guess it all comes down to the exposure he has though; seeing all of those players first hand would make a huge difference in his opinion.

Interview GoOdy! He's a really underrated terran (and he beat Nestea!)
|
Heh, nice to see MC go more in-depth than his usual "lol I'll just roflstomp my way through it". Nice to see a glimpse of the man behind the image

Q.Some people think that Protoss is currently the imbalanced race? at the moment, making tournaments very easy for Protoss players. What are your thoughts on the current balance of the game?
A.Among all races, I feel this even more for (Protoss). Zerg players have still not found a solution, and are only whining about it. I hope they will think about why the infestor buff is created in Blizzard.
What does he mean by the first part his answer? I guess he has some room to say the second part though , since he was one of the few Toss not crying when Toss couldn't win anything

Awesome interview :D thanks for getting it
i vote Interview EGDeMusliM (because he is finally making his comeback) LiquidHaypro (because we don't hear enough from him ^^) or Spanishiwa (obvious choice :D )

Did I read that correctly? He said he lost to White-ra 0-1 in the GSL championships on purpose? Oo

He probably doesn't really know anything about kiwi
all the players he names were playing in the world championship, dreamhack or are friends with him

lolol mc trolling about white-ra
|
Lost on purpose? Yeah right u.u
|
Im surprised he said he acknowledged IdrA, MorroW, and Dimaga as Zergs who are as good as koreans but left Haypro out ->_>

The way i understood it he said he was preparing for 4 gate, and he said if white ra did 4 gate he woulda won

Right now, because I am the top Protoss player, I don’t think about who I can defeat. I’m aware about Naniwa, but Huk says he’s my fan. I’m really happy that my fan is such a good player and if there is a chance, I hope to meet him. ^^

Haypro hasn't placed top 8 in GSL, won an MLG, taken an IEM championship or beaten Nestea. It isn't that he isn't good, he just isn't elite like the other three.

lol i think MC was just trolling with the answer about Whitera

It just may be!
It's very unusual to see trolling from Korean pros! IF it is indeed trolling

"I think I’ll probably advance to the Round of 4 easily."
This kind of answer has come back to bite so many players in the ass as of late :p

You are regarded as the top Starcraft 2 player, winning two GSL titles now. Now that you are on top, what is your next goal?
I must protect this top position, right? Eight victories is my goal. After winning GSL Open Season 3 GSL Mar DreamHack three times, I’ll like to add five more to it.
What is your schedule of events and leagues like for the next month or two?
Firstly, I’m in the midst of the ongoing TSL and the GSL May NASL StarsWar Copenhagen Tournament is a confirmed schedule, so there are about 5 events.
god i love this guy.
