![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/KxWZe.jpg) IMMVP: I am the World's Best!
▼ Comments on your victory? - MarineKing.Prime is the Terran that I acknowledge as one of the best. I am happy to have beaten him. When I first defeated him before, I was quite surprised, but this time, I am much happier than I was back then.
▼ Game started off with a great start for you. - Things went pretty much the way I wanted them to go today, compared to when I practiced. I had these thoughts come to me -- "Today's the day." "I can certainly clench victory.".
▼ Your feelings on allowing a tie score of 2-2? - I was angry at myself for losing in the 3rd match. I let myself lose focus and allowed him to win. I told myself then to not to lose focus anymore for the remainder of the matches. Then, I lost in the 4th match rather disappointingly... and thus, the score tied.
▼ You became the winner by defeating MarineKing.Prime again. - Well, he is a progamer just like me. I think it would hurt him if I tell him I'm sorry for defeating him. To be honest though, I want to face other players, not those that I'm good friends with. That leaves a bitter taste in my mouth afterward.
▼ You showed Battlecruisers twice today. You've been using it often recently. - When Terrans prepare for a TvT, that means there would be a lot of Marines, Marauders and Tanks. Personally, I thought that it would be lot more entertaining to change the build up a little. The Battlecruisers performed satisfactorily in the 2nd match, but it wasn't enough in the 3rd match. Clearly, it needs more offensive and defensive power, not more speed.
▼ You've broken 80,000,000 won (total winning prize money). When do you think you will break 100,000,000 won? - Well, right now, because I'm a Code A, winning would only net me 1,500,000 won. So, it is probably too difficult to break that now, so I'll attempt to win in the upcoming Super Tournament and win 100,000,000 won in one fell swoop.
▼ There's probably some pressure for being a Code A. - It's really embarrassing and shameful. I will win in the Code A matches, and then aim for winning in both leagues as well.
▼ Which foreigner left you with most impact? - Dimaga. He defeated the best Zerg, IMNesTea.
▼ Why do you think you're so strong vs. MarineKing.Prime? - I have a good understanding of how MarineKing.Prime plays. Not only that, I'm pretty confident in my TvT abilities.
▼ You've won twice just like oGsMC. - oGsMC has more winning prize money, but since I am the champion in the World Championship, I believe the world's best has got to be me.
▼ Last comments? - I want to thank everyone that helped me with practice -- ST_Bomber, TSLClide, TSLAlive, TSLPuMa, oGsSuperNoVa, SlayerS_M, SlayerS_Ryung, SlayerS_GanZi, and IMYoDa. There were few things that I didn't like about the computer setup today, but thanks to the staff members' help, I was able to play well today. I want to thank all my fans, and especially my coach for all the effort he put in for me.
|
He is pretty confident to declare himself the world's best after getting kicked down to code A. I like him giving Dimaga some respect he really earned it with his performance in the tournament.
I liked his battlecruiser usage and I feel like it worked out very well for him, his negative comment about them surprises me after his successful usage of them to end the match.
|
Thanks, I like this guy. And BCs are strong enough MVP ! ;]
|
- oGsMC has more winning prize money, but since I am the champion in the World Championship, I believe the world's best has got to be me.
What a funny thing to say, hah. I think MVP is the most skilled player in the world, though that's basically just speculation. He and MC are both just such incredible players. Who knows what Bomber can do once his stage fright is gone? Who knows what Nestea will do in the future? The skill difference between the top 5-6 players seems razor thin.
|
Ohhhh SHIIIIIIII-
We need MC vs MVP bo5. Winner takes all.
|
Cool interview. I like his confidence, it's a refreshing change of pace from the over-the-top humility we see from a lot of KR pros.
|
I want to thank everyone that helped me with practice -- ST_Bomber, TSLClide, TSLAlive, TSLPuMa, oGsSuperNoVa, SlayerS_M, SlayerS_Ryung, SlayerS_GanZi, and IMYoDa. That's one hell of a group of people to practice with, MKP must be envious

what does he mean by the upcoming super tournament?

Getting knocked down to code A in this situation clearly means nothing. Raw skill wise I think he's the best in the world. Macro and game sense are 2nd to none almost. It's pretty much a joke that he can even be in code A.

Too bad Dimaga couldn't play in the TSL3. Nevertheless, I look forward to the day when he steps foot on the lands of TSL4 or beyond.

Super Tournament is a full tournament where 32 players from both Code A and S (total 64) play for the grand prize of 100,000,000 won.

It's pretty much a joke that he can even be in code A. I agree. Overall he's a better player than MC and just more well-rounded. MC is becoming to be really predictable in all of his matchups and once people figure out ways to stop any sort of 1 base or 2 base aggression when they scout it, he'll start having more difficulties and his micro won't be enough. Probably not in PvP though since I think 4 gate will stick around a lot longer and he's unstoppable in any best of X PvPs.

Should be the next event after GSL May, according to that schedule they made in a news post back in like... December.

Well early on in that 4th match when he had his first b/cs they were only 0/1 upgraded, later to 0/2. While MKP had 3/3 marines, thats probably why to him they seemed weak in defense and offense. I'm sure with 3/3 vs 3/3 he would have won that game, and at one point with him on 6 bases he should have been more focused on upgrading.

i love mvp asking for more BC buffs lol. i'm all for it!
also that's quite the list of practice partners, no wonder he won
|
Imagine MVP asking you to practice TVT with him.
"Hm, well, I suppose I could find the time somewhere..."
edit: MVP has the best TVT ELO right now. He's got some SERIOUS TVTers to play in Code A, though. They're all on the other side of the bracket, but they're going to make winning Code A a serious challenge.
|
uh wow that's one hell of a TvT practice partner lists.
MMA, Bomber, Ryung, Puma especially.
Basically he got all the TvT gosus to practice with him.
|
I suppose MKP maybe practiced with the many oGs terrans?
which could explain why MC and jinro were rooting for him.
|
I wonder what MKP's list would be. Probably not as marvelous.

I don't like his view on the situation. His BCs weren't upgraded well while MKP's marines had 3/3. MKP's marines shouldn't have even reached the BCs if he had a better amount of tanks. In addition, he didn't use a ton of abilities in the terran arsenal, such as point defense drone, nukes etc. This isn't a situation where one should QQ; battle cruisers and their synergies with other units haven't been explored much at all.
The situation MVP was in is like when zerg doesn't have enough banelings to kill MMM and goes to QQ about mutilisks dying to it.
|
If MVP has to TvT against Ryung in Code A at some point, the world might just explode.

The guy had just won the whole tournament so he probably didn't have the time nor the inclination to really reflect on the games. I'm sure if he goes back and checks out game 3, he'll see that the transition to BCs was a little too early without sufficient tank support or upgrades.
Plus, he himself has on numerous occasions admitted that he QQs a lot, so it's just how he rolls.

He will face Lure (protoss) in the Ro32. Hopefully he doesn't make any mistakes. Otherwise, the World Champion might fall down to Code B.

mvp vs mc best of 7 grudge match please

|
I love how he is regaining his confidence back it seems. His logic is pretty great too about winning this tournament making him the best in the world. However I too want the MC v MVP bo7!
|
This must have been before he was able to watch the replays. Artosis said he shouldn't have used BCs when he lost that game. You shouldn't get an auto-win just because you tech to BCs. Though, I think he will see where he went wrong in that game. I definitely agree that he is one of, if not, the best players in the world. MVP hwaiting!
|
ST_Bomber, TSLClide, TSLAlive, TSLPuMa, oGsSuperNoVa, SlayerS_M, SlayerS_Ryung, SlayerS_GanZi, and IMYoDa
Holy crap that's one hell of a practice partner list. Poor MKP never had a chance. I guess everybody likes MVP more, or maybe MKP was too shy to ask people outside his team for help. This is like if Flash played Fantasy in the OSL finals and got Skyhigh, Leta, Sea, Light, Hiya and Baby to help him out.
|
No mention about fightimg mkp in the finals whereas mc was unfortunate to play mkp in the ro4.
Would have amused me lol
|
That is just sad that MKP doesn't have access to the better practice partners. MKP, please go make friends/join a better team!

Why do the koreans always ask the worst questions that are actually not questions, but just 5-words factual sentences? This has been bothering me for a while and I'd really like to understand their reasoning for displaying such apparent poor interviewer skills.

Has MC played MVP in a big tournament recently? Either way, congrats to him. Pulling himself out of a slump by taking the GSL WC is damn impressive, and using BCs on the way just makes it cooler. Nice one.

Their only major televised encounter was in round 1 of GSTL1 where MVP beat MC in a pretty lame game with MC doing a fail dt build. Before that MC beat MVP 2-1 in the gisado tournament.

I kind of agree, although it seems that the Koreans respond differently when being interviewed; for example, MVP gave a really interesting answer to a bland statement about beating MKP (instead of a question).

I think some of it kind of gets lost in translation. There's things straight translations don't catch hence the sometime epic fails google translate has.
|
I think MVP would beat MC. MC has made a career off timing attacks and Terran just has too many strong early game units and upgrades, and MVP's mid game is pretty bullet proof since he diversifies his units so much and uses the map to his advantage that it gets really difficult to counter.
MVP's build vs HuK for example in game 3 was pretty much gg by dint of the positioning and unit composition. Medivacs, stimmed marines and seiged tanks outside his natural on the low ground with banshees picking stuff off, and a raven throwing up PDD, there wasn't much he was gonna be able to do with stalkers and sentries and even robo units at that point don't last long. Even if there were someway to clean all that up, he would've been so far behind.
Obviously MC has more skill than I'm giving him credit for but I still like MVP.

NaDa hasn't really been that disappointing all things considered...he's consistently placed top 8 in GSL and is solid all around. Yea, he's not exactly 400apm Tornado Terran again but his prime was a long time ago not to mention he's busy with his studies now. Different game, different scene, different NaDa but still more than respectable.

Cool interview! Nice to see him give Dimaga some respect and tease us about this upcoming super tournament. If it's like other people said and is following the format of the first 3 GSL Opens, it should be MUCH better than them because the Code A/Code S player pools have improved so dramatically. Also gives MVP a shot at winning the big money even though he may still be in Code A then.
Grats to him! He was really impressive in this tournament!

+1 Look at that list!!

Yay ! MVP, one of my fav players, he always seem to have a good attitude, since he smiles so much when he's on camera hehe. His hair is pretty stylin' too
|
Holy shit that's an impressive line-up of practice partners. MMA, Ryung and Bomber especially. I'd say they're probably some of the only people who can give MVP a run for his money in TvT.
|
Wish i could have had an eye on those practice matches!!! T__T

He's so right about BCs. They're such garbage in all matchups

Nice blunt interview. I like his confidence, which ofc is earned until MC can prove he can beat him in a big series (hope i'm not missing one where MC beat him in a big series).
Sweet shout-out to dimaga too who I agree had the best foreigner showing overall in both the team and individual tournies.

▼ You've won twice just like oGsMC. - oGsMC has more winning prize money, but since I am the champion in the World Championship, I believe the world's best has got to be me.
IMO the world championship was an invitational not near as grueling or competitive and thus not near as an accomplishment as standard GSL win. Course I'm a MC fan so I'm bias Still only MC with two GSLs.:D

MC must be mad when listen to this interview ^^
hope he will use this for his 3rd GSL win
oGs.MC fighting!!

That contradicts the meaning of bonjwa. I don't think either is a bonjwa since you cannot say either is hands down the favourite to win against anyone.
A bonjwa is someone who has no peer, who is the large favourite against anyone. That's why Jaedong was never crowned bonjwa, he had Bisu and Flash contending with him. That's why Flash wasn't crowned a bonjwa despite his 80%+ winning until he soundly defeated Jaedong in multiple finals.

Wow, will that be broadcasted by gom in english? Never heard of that till now. :o

Sadly i missed most of this GSL, if i buy season ticket i can still see all the games? Im a MC fan, but i would love it if gomTV or some other sponser or something funded a MVP MC super match, like a super fight, $20,000 USD prize or something. They would get some nice ratings.

It had stronger players than the regular GSL to a certain extent. I like both MC and Mvp but to hold the title of world champion says something.

Yes if you buy a ticket you get excess to all the VoD's.

GSL WC's vods are free. Please support them by buying the next season ticket / donating to Japan! =)

A few weeks ago I'd have argued that MC is in class all by himself but after Whitera and then MKP took him down I can see an argument that he might be human after all. I'd still rank MC n1 without needing to think to much about it but recent events have closed the gap between MC and the rest.

He is going to crush throw Code A...i would be suprised if he loses map there even with such a strong players there right now
|
wow, really confident statements by him. but gz for winning it for sure.
|
To be fair if MKP played abit less all in he probably could of won, he tried silly rushes and then won normal games. His micro is enough to carry him far in any game.
|
Would be interesting to see how MVP did against Bomber, MMA and Ryung. Prime needs to get MKP better practice partners =/ Poor MKP

I second that, haha. I liked a little friendly taunts between the pro players, especially these korean guys, always pretty interesting.
I guess MKP is the new Stork/Yellow(or was it silver..)? Let's all see if he can win the next one instead of runner up ^^;

silly rushes was his best chance. the crossfire proxy rax worked brilliantly and the thor rush came down to MVP barely finding it with the marine scout.
|
MKP barely won one normal game where he was behind the entire game and lost pretty convincingly in the rest
|
I feel like micro and macro wise, no one can compete with Mvp except MKP. MKP should stop fooling around and rely more on his micro and macro instead of weird stuff, because he's a total beast and when he starts playing solid, he'll easily be champ (considering he's got to 3 finals already).
I don't think MC is on the same level in terms of raw skill, but MC is so smart and creative with his strats, plus he plays Toss which have so many awesome tech routes. Would love to see these 3 and Bomber duke it out; damn shame Mvp is in code A.

I guess he stopped considering about changing his race now.

His TvZ/TvT is most likely best in the world but his TvP I think most would agree isn't on par and there are other terrans better at it.

TvP is what got him into code A but tbh it seems like he has improved in that matchup a lot since then by switching to a primarily marine/tank style.

IMMvp is my favorite player!
second favorite is MKP......forever second Q_Q
