That's because they use their own, for some reason they always stick with the older boards... Not sure why.

lol so on the same page we have 2 different people accusing Americans of a) all being dirty and wearing their shoes in the house b) being anal about their home being clean. make up your minds!

house looks siiiiiiiick, super jealous. definitely a great environment to grow your SC skill!

Pretty sure it's mainly through sponsor money

I seriously doubt this. Watch Frag documentary, and hear about any 'pro house' ever in existence outside of Korea and it's rarely had support from teams.

From what I remember on Catz's stream a while back, he got the place and was paying his share of rent and his parents were subsidizing the other parts until he got roommates, then drewbie came in, and soon fenix/tt1 will be too. doesn't take rich parents, just supportive parents.

Thats a sweet house. Awesome to see you live, train together - didn't know about gaming houses outside of Korea.

Speaking honestly, I think this is a great idea, but reminds me much more of a frat/college house than a "pro-gaming" house. Do you think you will be able to grind 8-12 hours a day (5 days a week) like the koreans in an enviroment like that?

I am a poker player who lives with 5 other guys in the summer, and grinds all day with some live games mixed in. | have to say you will be a product of your surroundings. If you want to be legit you need to upgrade that place a bit.

what should be upgraded in your opinion?

1. Place looks sloppy (Sloppy living space leads to sloppy mind sets and cluttered living) AKA not productive.

-- The place has potential clean it up!! Show some pride in your WORK enviroment.

2. Seems like these guys aren't treating this like a job. Not too say you can't have fun, but work hard party hard!

lol. i see your point but this is so unnecessary.

So I guess these parents are supporting them, b/c they can hardly earn enough to pay for this just by gaming/coaching(or maybe)? ;p Anyways, awesome house guys.

Or....they CAN support themselves via team salary (if they receive one), ad revenue from streaming, coaching, in kiwikaki's case poker (although I don't believe he's staying there after MLG?), and the occassional tournament winnings.

Rent on a 4-5 bedroom apartment would be obscene compared to a 2 bedroom place lol.

I don't see why rent would be a problem if they streamed enough. Destiny mentioned in a reddit interview or Q&A that he made 3.5k a month streaming. Surely CatZ and Drewbie and Kiwi all streaming could earn about that much. Cover rent easily, maybe hire a housekeeper once a week, and get a bed in a separate room from other young men. I shared a room my first year of university, I'd never go back to that.

Rent on a 4-5 bedroom apartment would be obscene compared to a 2 bedroom place lol.
