So blizzard posted that on the 29th they will be giving out their "Season milestone rewards" Can anyone clue me in to what this is or is it not yet known yet? Is it something that master league players are going to get or only like the top 200? Or is it just something everyone gets for playing in the ladder this season? Any ideas would be appreciated

This is talking about the division rank rewards. Top 4, 8, 16, and 25 in a division will receive a reward.

I hope it's not this.. because it's pretty unfair. Division ranking doesn't mean anything. I am in the first master division in Europe, it's very competitive. I would be #1 in some inactives / newest created divisions with my actual rating...

Only the best will get certain portraits.. which is going to make casuals so mad, which is weird of blizzard because they seem to cater all this extra fluff towards the casuals anyway.. and not many good players i know give a shit about some portrait lol.

I hope they changed their mind, because this would be kinda unfair. Being rank 30 master, top 900 europe means nothing, but rank 3 bronze is awesome? cmon..

If it is like that, I am sure a reward for rank 1 masters does not equal rank 1 Bronze. But if someone new to RTS's has put a lot of time and energy into playing the game and got to rank 1 bronze, they do deserve a little something. Same as the RTS veteran who put in time and energy and got to rank 1 masters.

How is that unfair? You are rewarded for improving, not your overall skill. It's not like it matters, it's just a decoration. Also, Bronze icons look ugliest. So there's incentive to be in a higher league. It's not such a big deal imo. If you like the icons then great. If you think it's unfair... just ignore them.

I would guess that it has something to do with rewarding those players who are very high in their league or top 200. Something along those lines, I don't think that you would have to buy them.

Feats of Strength. On the PTR I got one for making into Top 8 Bronze in a season.

It is called "Top 8 in Bronze" and the description is "End a season in the Top 8 of a Bronze League Ladder."

So since I'm ranked 31 in masters I won't get anything but noobs that play a lot in bronze but can't get out so are ranked #1 get a fancy new picture?

Guess I should've just camped diamond league in all brackets. Easily top 8 in all of them and I just had to go tip the scales into rank 50 and below master's. =(

Some people are gonna get top 8 of master's by having 3000-3200 points in their league, whereas for mine, you need to be pretty close to 4k! What gives?

You guys are kind of missing the point I think. An NBA player can stay in College basketball and be recognized as the best, but they get bumped up to the NBA to play with players closer to their skill level. This does not mean the highest tier of College basketball teams should not be recognized, nor is it a shame to be in the NBA.

I realize that it is a damn shame we can't all get new portraits, but to all the Masters players QQing that they should've stayed high Diamond, just know how jelly I am when I click your profiles and see that shining blue star.

I would expect they just do very general and sweeping awards, something like a little Feat of Strength that says what League you were in at the end of season 1.

I suppose they might do something special for the top ranks in each division, but regardless of what they do it wont be anything THAT great. I would be very surprised if portraits were the reward as I think they want portraits to be unlock-able by anyone.

They really need portraits as good as the panda marine so I hope they take this opportunity to implement them. As it stands there's absolutely no reason to use a portrait other than a zerg wins portrait(other than corruptor, that one is horrible), a probe, or a panda marine.
