I'll be honest, you weren't my favorite caster at the start, but I freaking love you now. You are really doing an amazing job, I feel like I should be paying you for all the stuff you are doing. Seriously man, keep it up and know that everybody loves you and appreciates everything you do. Well more on topic, great tour, I love seeing the team houses!

This Prime house didn't seem to have a dining area or place to sit that wasn't at a computer! i think this is due to the fact that there isn't as many sponsors in star2 as well as sponsors not supporting as much money in star2 compared to star1. all the big companies are mainly with star1 as far as i know, and without a lot of money, its expensive to get a nicer/bigger place, you shud also keep in mind that korea's living quarters' standards are alot smaller than US/Canada for example. also, the total revenue/profit a progame team pulls in a year in star2, is i would assume significantly less than star1 teams

This Prime house didn't seem to have a dining area or place to sit that wasn't at a computer! I know it looks pretty bad, but this is pretty common in Korea. Even some white collar workers have to live in company apartments like this. Sleeping on the floor is also very common. There are also small tables used to eat while sitting on the floor. The conditions look pretty bad, and they aren't the best, but Korea is a very small country with large populations in the urban areas. Space is very limited, so this is how many people live.

nm, found it. Was scforall, not sure why I didn't think of that right away. Look at the other places he has gone through, it's not like BW players were living in palaces of gaming houses. They were nicer, yes, but your average space in Seoul isn't exactly booming compared to what Westerners are used to.

Cannot agree more! Hate the lowest graphics setting. It's not cool. Lol thats so ignorant. Most of the time people dont use lowest settings because of "the pros do", but because your sc2 dosnt run smoothly with high settings T_T. For example, if my sc2 is even medium graphics it has half the smoothness of low graphics, so i HAVE to use lowest settings if i want my sc2 to run the best it can. Where are you from? Dubai? What's even more funny is that Seoul is in the top 10 of the most financially powerful cities in the world - Dubai doesn't even crack the top 20. Actually both of them are not top 20, Seoul is 21th richest city in the world, still richest than half of US capitals, and someone calling South Korea 3rd world country might be insane. Also luxury has nothing to do with being 3rd world country, you're more likely to find more luxury in mid-high class house in a 3rd world house than on a 1st world rich house, just because how cheap service is and how big is the gap between mid-low and low class vs Mid-high and high. They probably doesn't do it because of the money, if you were one of them would rather to use your money to save and invest in other stuff or would you rather put a larger portion of the limited money you win from sponsor/prizes into making the house you train more pretty? They do it because they love the game and because they probably don't give a crap about anything else besides training to win. Edit: Also thanks Artosis again for another awesome set of interviews =D

How are they when the cameras are off? Did you listen to Hwanni? Haha. He translates stuff like, "this guy totally beat the shit out of him" or "that was total rape" or "Koreans wouldn't understand what the hell Foxer meant". A lot of that stuff should probably be blamed on translators ![]()

Hopefully the American teams dont copy this aspect of such spartan living accomodations, college kids eating ramen noodles every night live better. It will never catch on these conditions except maybe with the most hardcore of nerds who already live in tiny college dorms to begin with.Plz show humanity to the players here in US , it's not necessary to live like this to be good at something. Do you think the NFL or NBA players live in such spartan bare nothing living quarters. I noticed no dogs or cats , well hey there would be nowhere for them to sleep , not enough room.

You know in the US you crammed this many ppl into a living quarter it would be considered illegal. Reminded me of 20/20 when they go show the impoverished conditions of illegal immigrants cramming 20 to a apartment. Why anyone would want to go live like this for five to six years is beyond me. What's illegal about cramming 20 to an apartment? Are there any laws against that? The progamers seem perfectly comfortable and happy. Maybe the fact that real estate is very very expensive relative to income in the Seoul area mean that Koreans are used to living in small quarters. Not everyone lives like wasteful Americans, thinking 800 sq ft a person is a small space lol. Korea is a far more crowded country than the US, ok. Can you try to be a little more open and try to mask your ignorance a little more.

Did you notice those guys are not average 50 year old Joe ? Those are world top sc2 pro NERDS in youth age. They spend 8-12 hours a day training hard playing starcraft . They're supplied with energy drink packed fridge, bed, shower, desk, chair , pc and pack of friends they can practice with. What else you think they need ? Fish tank ? cat ? dog ? most probably all of them would be long time dead before someone on friday noticed they forgot to feed them monday morning. And being honest this apartment looks really expensive for Seoul standard. Post scriptum At their age in the us people bounce around college cramming 20 to a car ....
