I don't know if a specific schedule has been set but I would imagine one per week, similar to djWHEAT's other shows.
One per week might be pushing it a bit... this show takes about as much production as all of my other shows combined. Might seem crazy, but that's just how post-produced content works. That's also a big reason as to why I love LIVE so much Do it once... done.
The other thing too is that I have to coordinate my schedule and miniWHEAT's schedule. You'd think that would be easy, but many nights have already have casts going on and it cuts into our "filming" time. Needless to say, he's doing some practicing on the side
So honestly, I don't think there even is a set schedule for this quite yet. As I do more and more episodes it becomes easier to do (in fact, this episode took a very long time simply because of the new graphics, picture in picture, etc - but now I have a "template" of sorts to work from).
The other thing which may delay releases of episodes is the fact that we're having some custom maps made for future challenges and those don't necessarily complete overnight AND require some testing (as you'll see in a future episode!)
I will however update you with progress in this thread (or via twitter @djWHEAT). And can tell you we've already begun filming Episode 2. And depending on how things go this weekend... it might actually hit next week.

I seriously love this show. This is the best show in the world period.
djWheat you really are a freaking genius. I watched episode 0, and i was just amazed at how miniWheat picked up things really fast or yelling at my tv to help him do the right thing. It's like a starcraft thriller where you don't know if the guy playing will be able to play or not. Emotion, laugh, nerd chills everything is in it.
And trying to borrow some of baller graph skill, I made a previsional graph of miniWheat awesomeness for the next episodes.

Good luck to you and to your miniyou.
PS: maybe it's my second of third posts, and i lurked this site for like 2 or 3 years, that's how awesome you are. Yeah, that's a lot of awesome.

Thank you for the kind words. To be honest, this show would have never came to light if I hadn't been a fan of the following two StarCraft related shows:
Hyung Joon Becomes a Pro-Gamer http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=110964
&
Nal-Ra's Old Boy http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=116942
These two shows (which I loved to death for the reasons you list) were my inspiration for putting together the series. If you enjoyed the miniWHEAT series, you may REALLY enjoy those as well.
PS Love the graph :D

Finally registered to TL and I do so to make my first post here.
1. Kids a baller. I wouldn't want to meet him on the ladder.
2. Wheat... Send one of miniwheats replays to Day9 :D Best. Daily. Ever.
3. I can't believe I found out that Artosis switched to Protoss from miniWheat of all people.

I can only fear how miniwheat would react when he loses. :/
|
great show! you ever have him try another race? i think he could learn faster as t or p rather than z lol
|
great show man! so enjoyable! i cant wait for him to be able to control the game properly on his own! so exciting!

Also I'm not so sure that the other races are that much easier to learn. Zerg has the advantage that there is only really 1 building you need to go to to create units. Hit select larvae and you get your entire list of units to make, no need to click around to all the various buildings to try and find the particular unit you want to build.
Zerg might be more difficult to grasp for someone that already has some RTS experience because they are different, but I think for someone with no experience at all they are a decent choice. The other hard thing about Zerg is larvae management which I don't think will be a concern for a long time to come. It will be awhile before mini starts learning specific strategies where a thing like larvae management matters.

It's so nice to see someone else "get it". Everyone keeps saying Terran Terran Terran. But I had the exact same thoughts as GogoKodo, in that... WTF happens when he has 5 Rax?! At least with a single hatchery you can do exactly as you mention and build everything you need from one building.
Additionally, you never want to "force" anything on a child. Like you mentioned, miniWHEAT picked Zerg, and I asked him to play something else and he refused. I didn't want him to instantly lose interest because we weren't letting him do what he wanted to do.
Besides, learning T and P can be future episodes ^_^

Where can i get that GG button? I wanna buy it so bad!!

Awesome series Mr. Wheat :D looks like Miniwheat is having a blast. Reminds me of when my dad showed me how to play Contra when I was younger.

I just showed my wife what will our son (14months atm) do in his spare time, and she said I'm so fucked if I ever teach him to play games :D

"... it was hard for the computer..." EPIC

I'm intently following, and await more episodes...
Just have to make sure my fiancee does not see this, or she'll be all up in my face about how we should have a kid (which actually potentially could be fun).
@djWHEAT - your patience is awesome, I hope I can be that composed of a father some day.

I was thinking of not playing zerg anymore but miniWheat inspires me to keep at it!!!
