So in watching Artosis's latest video on youtube, it was revealed one of the people playing the long-mysterious Grim Reaper is in fact the man we know as MarineKingPrime. Jinro said last week that he knows somebody playing it, so his input could be revealing.
As for the foreigners, it was yet another impressive week. Huk, after having his accounts at 7th and 62, now has two accounts in the top 5! Really looking good for him to join code A next season. The other foreigners had mixed results. While Idra rose from 110 to 77, and mOOnGLaDe showed up again at 200, SEn dropped a bit from 98 to 101. The rest of the liquid guys didn't have a good week if you just look at the rankings, with Jinro dropping from 58 to 101, ret dropping from 83 to 107, and Haypro dropping off. However, a closer examination will reveal that Jinro played exactly one ladder game and ret only played 3, while Haypro was in Europe to represent Liquid at some tourneys.

PS. I'm not sure that 저승사자 in artosis's video was MKP because MKP was not the only one who used the account. I know a guy who currently used the account and he was playing terran, too.

I believe he was given TLO's old account when he got to Korea and then decided he wanted to have his own account to have his own ELO, etc. ?
More interesting is the fact that MarineKingPrime has been actively smurfing, while other pros have not. I wonder if his smurfing will start a trend of top Korean players starting to smurf. Not to mention it seems like it'd be a pain in the ass to smurf on Korea due to the KSSN requirement.

to those asking about DongNaeGu, i rememember jinro saying something about him sometime in the past month but i can't remember how he spelled it to search for it and from what i can tell tl search doesnt accept * appendanges. it's weird because ㄹ is usually r or l sound, but in this case it's n. i think jinro said donglae-gu or something along those lines.

He's not in korea yeh I think, he's been in and out of the top 200 for over a month now playing from Australia.
Huk having 2 accounts is similar to how MeatyOwlLegs got to 4k with so few games, not that he was trying to game the ladder system (Im assuming he just wanted his own account not TLO's old one), but having 2 accounts in top 5 is still freaking insane - go Huk!

The latency is nowhere near as bad as its hyped up to be (or at least in aus). Its actually better than playing in NA for some reason, and my internet is only adsl2 on tpg.

From what I read on PlayXP (don't know how credible that is), DongraeguProS (that #1 zerg) is good enough to take a bunch of games off IMMVP, but he's unable to participate in GSLs and such because of school/education stuff.

2 Huk accounts in the top 5 on the hardest ladder in the world is no mean feat. Hopefully he can repeat his ladder success in actual KR tournaments too, we need a foreign protoss in KR tearing it up

One thing to take into account is that the best players in Korea are probably not laddering at the moment, because they know their next opponent in the GSL, and so are practicing specific race match ups. Like Jinro has played 3 or so ladder games this past week.

I'm going to stick to my translation here unless I get more information. From looking around, even though it seems wrong, the prevailing romanization of 동래구 (the area in Busan) is Dongnae-gu. Even the official webpage has it listed that way. As for the back half of the name, I'm fairly certain that he's a member of the ProS (short for project supreme afaik) clan, which grew out of the ashes of WeRRa. Unless somebody can prove either of those wrong, I'm going to stick with what I have (except maybe putting the 2nd n in lower case).

I'd like to hear more about the top Zerg player DongRaeGuProS. Obviously it's an achievement to reach the no1 spot, but does this translate into someone who is going to come into the GSL scene and start placing high in the next few GSL seasons? Or is this like when MeatyOwlLegs got to top of the ladder, still a really awesome player, but maybe not top top to get thru and win a GSL.
Pls inform me if im looking at these stats the wrong way.

HuK is still looking awesome. Too bad his second account isn't in the top 10 anymore. Would be awesome to see two of him up there.
As far as Idra's low rank goes, apparently he insta-quits quite a few of his games. If he gets matched up with a player that he knows will cheese, he will simply leave the game. Consequently, his ladder rank is taking quite a hit.

I was watching a bit of HuK's stream the other day and he was complaining about SlamDunk (T) beating him all the time. Where the hell did this guy come from and does anyone know if it's a high level alt account of a player we already know?

Actually, he said he couldn't get there from Pusan for the qualifier. Problem is, I didn't actually know where Pusan was. Without knowing very much about the geography of South Korea, I didn't put the pieces together, but you are absolutely correct. He actually lives in DongnaeGu or very close to it if what he said to HuK two nights ago on ladder is the truth.

HuK is a beast! I hope this means he is on top of his game!
Good thing for HuK is that the ladder seems to reflect skill quite a bit. I mean, check out the players who did well last GSL. Nestea, MVP, MarineKing, TOP, POLT, ... They are all quite high on the ladder. I hope this means HuK is going to tear up the Rank A tournament.
