HuK would clean his group without problem since MarineKing as he himself said is no problem for him... And Ret.... Being code A and be afraid of code B players... such a shame... PS... If we get more westerners into GSL Nazgul should have a talk with other managers for a temporary merger of players in GSL under one team (only for GSL) eg. LiguidRet.West, EGIdra.West and so on. That way the next GSL Team tourney our western players could participate in it (hopefully)

You are fighting a losing battle. You will never get them to admit how biased they appear to be in this thread and some of them may not even realize it themselves. This thread has become a trainwreck unless the title changes to "Vote for your favorite compatriot" or "Vote for a player you want to hang out with the most" for a bunch of people mentioning incontrol in the first 30-40 pages. Incontrol is an awesome, fun guy and also a decent professional, but he just hasn't shown enough at this point to deserve a free Code A. I think I might just give up and start posting "I VOTE FOR BRATOK" myself here every 8 hours.

Jinro didn't qualify for GSL 1 or 2. Tester failed to qualify for GSL 2 and 3. Both of these players are now in code S top 16 along with many other Code A and Code S players who failed to qualify multiple seasons.

As for Incontrol I agree completely. He is my favorite SC2 personality and one of the top foreigners from my country (US) but I would never recommended he be given an automatic qualifier over other foreigners who deserve it much more.

We're quickly comming up on Feb and these players obviously have to make plans if they are going to Korea (if they aren't already there). I think GomTV would probably get in touch with the players and hammer out the details in private long before returning to this thread or making a public announcement as to who is going to show up. I suspect we will find out a few days before the event itself. Its a two way street remember, if GomTV advertises a group of players joining the GSL months in advance, and something happens in a players personal life that prevents their attendance, that would be money, time and hype wasted for their event.

Because it is annoying for GOM and anyone else interested in reading this thread to go through and see a bunch of useless spam voting for a player that would get crushed in the GSL. Unlike these 1 post accounts, I actually like to read the insightful posts people make, which is what TL is about. These posts are turning this thread into something it shouldn't be. It's supposed to be a discussion thread, not a poll. As for the "aggressiveness" don't you see it as aggressive having thousands of people coming into a website that they have made no contribution to at all and spamming a thread they don't really understand? This is for example why ROX would prefer Brat_OK over a better player from Europe (lets say Jinro) if they had the choice. They are a russian sponsor, so they have to care about the popularity within the russian community (where Brat_OK is extrem popular as we have seen). So Liquid also did the same with their guys. They would barely recruit a Eastern europe/Chinese/Sea player who barely has anything to do with the community here on TL and might even have language barrer or visum problems or whatever. You are talking about top foreign teams ? Afaik only Liquid (and soon eg) offers their player a opputurity to go Korea and live there. Obviously Rox is a top foreing team too. Edit: Actually this thread doesn't really make sense since you wouldn't know who would accept an invitation. I disagree with mostly all of that. Liquid already have players from EU/NA and I can't see why would they be reluctant to recruit, for example, Dimaga, Sen or a Code S Korean player given the opportunity, even though they may not interact much with the TL community and have a language barrier. Obviously language barrier can be an issue internally, but that's not what we're discussing here. ROX's main sponsor is Kaspersky as far as I'm aware, and I'm pretty sure their interests extend well beyond Russia. I can't see why they would have any rational reasons not to sign Jinro or Idra, nor how would that negatively affect the sponsorship (in fact it would be quite the contrary) in a hypothetical situation where such a deal could be possible. As long as the player is proven and skilled, he will have some sort of following on TL unless he has personal issues (extreme BM, lack of discipline, personality clashes), and will have generated enough "star power" that the issues you present won't be issues at all. Pretty much every successful foreign player is known and respected on TL, including Brat_OK. A lot of people in this thread voted for him even before the Russians thought of invading the thread, by the way.

Anyway, After seeing a few things I've decided to change my vote to the following ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Who I did not pick Haypro. Has consistently underperformed at all tournaments. He tends to lose with major mistakes. Not sure why he is still in korea when he has not been in top 100 of korean ladder for a while. Morrow. A really excellent player, but his playstyle would not be good in korea. If he lived in korea for 6-9 months he could possibly be competitive if he switched back to terran. brat_ok. Has not participated in enough competitive tournaments. Not the highest skilled. mana/naniwa/whitera. Protoss is played extremely differently in korea and these players would have trouble adapting. QXC/drewbie/nama. Simply not enough experience. They would definitely benefit from going to korea to train first. TLO/tarson/incontrol/machine/inka/demuslim/fenix/tt1/etc Definitely fan favorites, however, belong in a lower calibur of play. Some could be in code A, but most simply are missing either motivation or the ability to practice in a very competitive environment.
