Why is everyone saying iNcontrol? He's good but if you had to pick the top 4 foreigners not already in GSL, why would you pick him?

He hasn't won anything of significance in SC2 nor has he placed even somewhat highly in any major tournament. There are way better tosses out there.

Mostly because incontrol has the brain and determination and skill to do fantastically in korea, unlike ALOT of foreigners who would struggle adapting to the completely different playstyle. Alot of europeans have proven to be inflexible in this regard (except a notable few), and almost all of the north americans as well. Huk was able to adapt through sheer force of will. But Incontrol definitely has the ability to do well, he's been bogged down a ton in foreign events due to being a part of everything, and he's proven when he sits down on focus's on starcraft (for about a week) he is good enough to qualify for the GSL, so why not give him a month and the ability to rock the world with his intelligence.

The players I believe would be the best to be put into the GSL code A would be

HuK - He is already in Korea and has shown to be one of the best Protoss outside of Korea and one of the top in Korea

Haypro - A extremely good zerg player, who is already in korea and has been in the GSL before, I believe he went out to All-in play so he may have not had a chance to show his true play.

DeMuslim - Hands down best Terran outside of Korea, only rivaled by Fenix, or TLO(when TLO plays Terran)

Sjow - Another extremely good Terran from Europe, he has shown to be the most accomplished player in Europe according to the TeamLiquid database, and he has announced he has plans to go to Korea I believe.

Huk results have fallen off compared to tt1s and manas, demuslim is not the best terran, there is about 5-6 terrans in europe, kas, strelok, bratok, naama, sjow etc that are on a similar if not sometimes higher levels,

I'm going to list people that are not currently in korea, and going by the Tourny wins and placing (which is what they are asking for)

Fenix [1st IEM New York 2010, top 8 blizzcon, 3rd DreamHack]
White-Ra [1st place HDH Invitational, 1st place TeamLiquid Invitational 1, 3rd place Blizzcon 2010]
Morrow [1st place, IEM Season V - Global Challenge Cologne]
Socke[1st place ESL Pro Series Germany, 3rd place MLG Raleigh]

didnt say huk or haypro cause they will be in code A on their own merits by this time

Why not naama for first place Dreamhack?

What about TorcH. I mean, GSL 1 round 64-er, that is quite a feat right? He is already in Korea, part of the team StarTale, which in fact is one of the better teams around. His play can be seen as innovative, and his determination to make e-sports stand out is actually quite a plus.

Huk has been in korea. he's been a bit busy training. of course mana tt1 ect will stand out once HuK has been removed from the tournament pool.

It is, quite frankly, impossible for me to just name 4 foreign players for Code A. I believe that the top players are all very, very close in terms of skill and a seperate current Top4 can not be extradicted.
It is therefore that I believe that every one of the current players deserves a shot over the coming months, across multiple Code A seasons:
+ Show Spoiler +

BRAT_OK (Russia) from team RoX.KIS
DaRK.FoRcE (Germany) from team Alternate
DeMuslim (Great Britain) from team EG
Dimaga (Ukraine) from team mTw
Fenix (Peru) from team Fnatic
GLaDe / mOOnGLaDe (Australia) from team FXOpen
HuK (Canada) from team Liquid
Incontrol (USA) from team EG
Naama (Finland) from team Mousesports
Naniwa (Sweden) from team Empire
Sen (Taiwan) from team Fnatic
Sjow (Sweden) from team Dignitas
Socke (Germany) from team Alternate
White-Ra (Ukraine)
I would also add MaNa (Poland) from team Mousesports to this list, but considering his young age, it would not be easy to do this for him, which is quite sad.

I believe that many of the foreign players that have been often mentioned in this thread (I will just name qxc here representing them all) are not worse players in any way, but in an imaginable Bo5-Round Robin between KR,US and EU servers I would expect only these names to appear in the top 50 in the end.

But who am I to judge? I may be wrong. In any case, this thread has already provided some excellent choices. I'm just a fan and spectator
Thank you for your efforts, John and GOM

if local players can play qualifiers, I'd prefer them to play those

picks:
Socke/KiWiKaKi (good tourney players)
Sen or Dimaga
I'm having a hard time to choose between Naama, Brat_OK and Sjow. Naama is pretty solid and proven himself @ DH, Brat_OK is a beast with crazy tactics. I'm having doubts about Sjow, he seems to destroy his opponents if he wins (which is a lot), but when he loses it's almost always bigtime. I also think his lack of mechanics will pose major problems against the Korean harass tactics.
Normally I'd pick DeMuslim as terran, but I feel he hasn't shown a lot these last couple of months. I don't know if he's slacking in practice atm., but if EG sends him to Korea and he'll get the chance to practice there, he won't disappoint.

invites by vote are silly anyways, set up a tournament for each region:
4 qualifiers: NA,SEA,Europe and China/TW

I really hope the decision isn't made based on the replies in this thread.

Sen
Huk/Sjow (since Huk's already in Korea and can qualify anyway then Sjow might be a better idea)
Fenix
Dimaga

TLO is already Code A, he just didn't want to play.

But my recommendation would be BratOK, White-Ra, Dimaga, InControl would be cool too
