It's obviously a joke, and it's funny.
jokes are supposed to be funny, thats what makes them jokes, this is not funny sir How it's even possible that there are people on the planet that still don't understand the entirely subjective nature of humour, is something our finest minds and best science will never properly decipher. This video is a fantastic troll to all the homophobic teenage gamers. That alone makes it worthy of praise. The sheer amount of freaking out and rage on Youtube is already hilarious. How's it even possible that you don't understand that just because you find it funny, doesn't mean everyone else will think the same. In my honest opinion of this video, i had to cringe because it was borderline homosexual.
I love how this post ironically provides evidence for every single claim TB makes in his post

TB once went on a great rant on blueplz about the vocal minority in the WoW community. This also seems to apply here...

I feel like the only appropriate response here is "lolwut", but I feel like I would get modded for that. So I'll at least thank you for proving Biscuit's point.
OT: The writing on this one was better than the banelings vid, but the banelings video was hilarious in its own right, whereas the hilariousness from this one comes mainly from the homophobic teenager reactions to it.

I agree that TB is making Husky sound way too much like a saint. If there was no monetary incentive behind spending so much money on making a video of such high production value, I doubt that he would keep on doing it.
That being said, it's clear the dude is having a blast with both these videos and his casts. And people (including myself) like them as well. Props to Husky for finding a way of making a living both entertaining us and himself. But let's not say he does all this *just* b/c of the community.

This video should have been about the pilot of the harassing banshee imo.

Is this a cover to a different song?

lol @ the homophobes on this forum. Get over it, guys.
Anyway, this video was hilarious. I think I might love it because I was all into the boy band phase back then. Don't hate, all my friends were too! TT
Aaaaaand, thanks, Nerd Alert, now I never wanna kill an SCV again.

Oh do me a favour and lose the troll act, some of us have been doing it way longer than you and we're much better at it.
Do you know the guy? No. When was the last time you spoke to him? Are you employed by the same company? Are you aware of what he does on a daily basis? Do you know how much he earns? Do you know how much money he plows into making fun content for no personal gain?
None of the above, of course.
So sit the fuck down and stick to what you're good at.
Yeah, so I'm defending my friend. Deal with it.. I won't have you slandering his good name in public without recourse.
edit : Noted, removed.
Mod note: warning removed, he took away the martyring very fast.

TotalBiscuit, it's just as asinine to suggest that Husky does it for "no personal gain" as it is to think he does it only for the money. It's almost certainly somewhere in between.
We know he loves SC2 and the community, and we know he makes a living through Youtube adverts. Theres no reason to think that's a bad thing that someone can entertain us and at the same time earn a profit. It doesn't have to be completely black or white. I think it's great he can love what he does and pay the bills. More power to him.

Dude, I work with the guy, I know exactly why he does it. Nobody here actually has the necessary information to pass anything more than surface judgements. You don't know him, you don't know the way he operates and having a shitload of posts on this forum doesn't give anyone the right to pass broad-stroke value judgements on people.

Nobody is disputing how he earns his living, it's the same way I earn mine, but when you say you're doing a song for charity, you generally mean it. You don't spend a shitload of time on something for no personal gain, when you could be pumping out commentaries for entirely personal gain, if you don't care about the community as a whole. It's as simple as that.

well it was a well done song and music video, however - I did not enjoy it. I liked the banelings alot better.
Looking forward to more parodies they will do.

I don't think I'm presuming anything when I say I feel that on some level he makes videos to get tons of hits that earn him income. I'm not saying I know him or that its his main motivation at all. For all I know it could be 90% love and 10% money, I'm just saying that suggesting it's 100% one way or the other, that is too simplistic an interpretation.
I hate having to do this in every post I make about Husky but TL has a great relationship with him and we all know him. Maybe not on a personal level like you do but we're not exactly strangers either. I feel I need to say this before I get swarmed by people saying I'm just a hater or whatever. I've posted in both threads where he's made these music videos, I really like them.

Implying the hilarity from the video comes from husky ‘trolling’ (used loosely because honestly trolling is lost on today’s youth) the homophobic and homosexual hating community that is the internet, gives to good reason as to why husky is fading away in the casting scene.
Husky is not a comedian. He is a sc2 comentator.
Also wtf is up with his name for his ‘band’. Nerd alert? I thought husky attended blizzcon.

There's no need to justify it, I know the relationship between TL and Husky and no, you're not a hater. My problem is Idra being a douchebag for no good reason and not even doing a particularly good job of it, not with you or anyone else who is being reasonable about it. Taking a dump on someone's genuine willingness to help and love for the community is insulting and counter-productive, simple as that. It's not what we should be expecting from our pros, since it's in everyone's best interests that the community grows and works together to advance the scene. Idra isn't exempt from that, regardless of his well-known nature. There's banter, there's trash-talk and then there's just plain being a dick.

LOL at Husky's stache
Such an awkward parody @@; ...good production value though, definitely.
