Now idra... Do you honestly think husky is making multi millions right now.. Hes making a living off what he loves to do. Good for him. He lives in a small dinky apartment in LA, and lives off the casts. I hardly call that rich. Its a good income, no doubt about that. But rich. Thats way out there... Also you would be completely inept to not realize that without YouTube, the massive influx of interest in SC2/ESPorts community would not exist today... You can't watch SC2 on TV. However, you can go on the front page of YouTube and see SC2 casts on a consistent basis... Don't argue for the sake of arguing Idra. Give credit where credit is due... I know your focus is in Korea. But the YouTube VOD casters outside of Korea are whats making ESports grow globally. Id like you to give me one piece of evidence outside of YouTube that said otherwise... Oh and good news. More popularity = more business interest = higher overall prize pools around the world... Everybody plays their part in this industry. Stick to gaming idra. Your fun to watch, and you actually have a leg to stand on when you douche on bad players. However, you've never casted anything other then those 'sponsor lessons'. And most likely know nothing about that aspect of the industry. therefore, your argument has no backbone. I can imply that from simple common sense, doesn't take a progamer to figure that out. With all that said. Good luck in GSL4.
I think IdrA is just generally disgusted when someone achieves (in his opinion) undeserving success, whether it be a low skill cheeser making it far in a tournament or a caster making it big when there are clearly better casters than him (semi-understandable for someone who's worked so hard for where he is now).
I don't think anyone will argue Husky is the most high-level, knowledgeable caster on the internet. In fact, he might be the exact opposite. But he is most definitely one if not the most popular caster in the world. And that pisses off the people like IdrA who think that success should be a reflection of talent and skill.
I think Husky is a good entertainer and I support him as such. But I can't blame IdrA for hating him as a popular caster. So I wouldn't admonish IdrA for raging against Husky. I do however, he could have chosen his words a little better while expressing his opinion so it didn't seem like such a vicious attack on Husky's character

If husky wasent around there would still be 300k+ people who want to watch SC2 casts, it just so hapens he was able to get that many subs.
In addition the majority of his casts are all ladder based. Rarely does he cover any esport event and then sticks the vods on his youtube page.
Husky is the halo equiv of the weekly top 10 kills. This doesent bring people to MLG it just gives existing fans something they find entertaining to watch.
Well, Husky makes Starcraft a spectator thing, his casts are a lot less analytical and more filled with jokes and stuff which appeals to a broader audience. Its like how more people want to watch a game of football rather than watch espn break down a football teams offensive play calling, formations and schemes to show why its an efficient offense. Not everyone who watches a sport like basketball or football want to play to be in the nba or nfl or whatever. Huskys kind of a step towards that which will allow starcraft to reach a broader audience and therefore increase in popularity which imo can only be a good thing.

I'm sorry you have started hating me ever since you lost the HDH1 to WhiteRa. And how would you know there would be 300K+ people wanting SC2 content without Husky & HD?
Husky obviously worked harder bringing content consistently, which resulted in bringing his content to Youtube's front page. I would argue that this had a significant part in growing "e-sports". People who really dig Husky's content and SC2 are obviously going to look up more things and find out about MLG and GSL. Existing fans today exist because well, guys like Husky made lots of work to give SC2 massive exposure.
Give credit where its due.

It's this concept of the 'SC2 Scene" that is bad... There shouldn't be an 'SC2 scene'. Scenes are bad.. Scene generally means a small group of people that like something... Husky is the stepping stone from 'scene' into mainstream society. Once that is achieved, ESports will blow up like nobody's business.
Just look at the EG tournament being showed on G4.com. I hate the TV channel, but is sure as hell is a start...
Edit: Also Husky if your reading this. Im sorry I called your apartment dinky Just putting things into perspective for that egotistical Idra He said you were 'getting rich'.

Yea but they don't break down the play. I just watched the Rockets Vs Miami Heat game last night and they didn't go that analytical into the game. They do the play by play and mentions things like picking up the tempo, having to attack the basket, pick and rolls and stuff. But overall its pretty basic. They don't really go too into detail with their casting if you ask me which is fine with me. Also you gotta realize just because you were a pro at the sport or coached at it, that doesn't correlate with how well you cast it. Personally I think clyde drexler is extremely annoying as one of the Rockets commentators, luckily he missed the heat game.

Yea, definitely. Also how Wheat and Day9 works as Wheat asks day9 for his opinion on a bunch of different situations because he knows Day9 knows more about it than he would.

Nicely produced and song. I really enjoyed watching it and couldn't stop grinning. It was so over the top Backstreet Boys music it was really funny. Lot of extra credit for being an original and not a cover. With a more normal text I could see this becoming the next big sappy hit on the radio I would have to ignore
However as it is outside the scope of the music I like I'll probably won't favourite it. I will have to do some soul searching if I wan't to betray my music standards for you guys or if Starcraft music falls under a new yet to define category

Ya kidding? He does this because he loves the SC2 community. He could have spent the time and the budget just plowing out commentaries to pay the bills, not making charity songs. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha aaaaaaahahahahahahahahahaha Oh do me a favour and lose the troll act, some of us have been doing it way longer than you and we're much better at it. Do you know the guy? No. When was the last time you spoke to him? Are you employed by the same company? Are you aware of what he does on a daily basis? Do you know how much he earns? Do you know how much money he plows into making fun content for no personal gain? None of the above, of course. So sit the fuck down and stick to what you're good at. Yeah, so I'm defending my friend. Deal with it.. I won't have you slandering his good name in public without recourse. edit : Noted, removed. sit the fuck down? lol shut up retard. he doesnt give a rats ass about the community beyond the fact that theyre making him rich despite the fact that he has absolutely 0 noticeable talents. if the tlaf guy hadnt been desperate to throw money at the community, and husky hadnt gotten in between those 2, he would be a nothing right now. good for him for 'making it' but dont act like anything about the whole thing is for the good of the community. I'm sorry you have started hating me ever since you lost the HDH1 to WhiteRa. Despite what you think, I did not rig the maps to be in his favor and I did not in any way rig anything to favor one player over the other. I understand why you raged at me in private after you lost and I am ok with you posting extremely hateful things towards me ever since that event. It's cool if you dont like me. It's cool if the raging nerd persona is your way of standing out. It's extremely awesome that you are so dedicated to StarCraft 2 and are a representation of the foreign community in StarCraft 2. But please, for the sake of being an honest person, stop posting in every thread about me saying I do not care about the SC2 community. It simply is not true . Thanks!
I enjoyed the video, but please never grow facial hair like that again! :p

(also if you read this husky: would you please commentate a BW game on your stream sometime soon, I miss the ol' days) I will always cast any SC2 replay that I watch . I also plan to cast a BW game for fun at some point in the near future once I can get off holiday. Cheers! YES! I miss your BW-casts! Lets be honest here, you were pretty good (Compared to the average TLer) at BW but in SC2 youre mediocre and the game was so worked out that you could better be that crazy caster who shouts a lot while still having some really good analysis, I miss the analysis-bits in your SC2-casts You should start casting SPL again!
