![]() So I prepared for it, and caught it as it entered my base: ![]() I figured he doesn't have much of an army, so I immediately retaliated... and received this: ![]() Not really great or confusing BM, but I rarely get bm'd so this would be golden for me at least ;p I love these types of games though where a simple scan or catching something like that warp prism could win you the game. Little things matter!

![]() + Show Spoiler + ![]() I checked the replay and my first unit was my marine which died as soon as it was built due to a bad rally, also I've played mech so much in TvT and I hardly ever come across cheese, I reckon I could hold it though, I could have got hellions before tanks but I didn't. It's just the all in line that got me.

To Preface, this conversation follows a game in which Yahu attempted a proxy rax which was scouted by my overlord. I pulled enough droned to stop the Barracks from going up and took the game handily from there, despite in game bm from my opponent. After the game, I dropped him a line in response to his bm in the game. So.... YES I spoke first, but NO I didn't start the BM. And, well, the way this conversation goes is worth a read. It became very confusing. You: thanks! Yahu has reconnected. Yahu: You message me due to your lack of confidence or from sheer stupidity? You: nope. more to say thanks. Thanks! Yahu: lol Your thanks are unwanted. You: But I give them anyway. Thanks! Much appreciated Yahu: Since you deem it so appropriate to talk to me answer my question Why are you messaging me? You fucking idiot You: I was messaging you to say thanks. You played hilariously, and I derived great enjoyment from it. so thanks! Yahu: you messaged me from either sheer stupidity, or from a lack of confidence in yourself You: more out of thanks, really. Yahu: to propose thanks when it's unwated You: I appreciated the proxy two rax that I scouted with my overlord. It was fun! Yahu: is sheer stupidity thanks for answering You: nono, it is sheer hilarity wouldn't you agree? Yahu: Evidently, no. You: but why not? It was humorous for all or at least for me. Yahu: It's clear you yearned for a response from me, otherwise why jape "Thanks!"? It's folly, really. You: Not folly, no. I feel I've recieved a response, have I not? And it has only added to my jovial attitude this morning! Yahu: Your "Thanks!" was not genuine, obviously. It was an unwarranted jest. You: it was quite genuine, my good sir. I really do offer my thanks for such easy points. They were quite simply earned, after all. Yahu: lol It's you and those rivaling your lack of sportsmanship that show how much respect in this community actually has diminished It's sad almost That game resembled a coin toss, and that's why I refrained from gg'ing, as it wouldn't have been genuine. You: One may talk of sportsmanship all they like, however, cries of such folly do not diminish the red-faced shame you should be feeling at attempting to entrap me with such a base and boorish maneuver. Upon exiting a well played match, I feel no such desire to thank my opponent as I have thusly Yahu: Lol You: That game was far froma coin toss. The moment I scouted the barracks was the moment I secured my victory. Yahu: It's clear you're not acting your normal self in writing the way you are Nonetheless The game WAS a cointoss Either you scout that, and win, or don't, and likely lose. You: in what manner, would you say? Yahu: That's cheese. You: so why debase yourself to such a stylistic choice? Yahu: I had no patience I don't deny my attempt at cheese I'm only saying your jest was unwarranted That's all You: If one is lacking in patience, I would suggest that person not que up a match at all! My jest was in good spirits and good humor. You could have chosen to match it with the same Yahu: A match need not be slow... You can be impatient And win You: instead you chose to take offense. I believe because you were LOOKING to take offense. Yahu: Lol Your "Thanks for the easy points!" was in good spirits, and good humor? You: Certainly. You are more likely, however, to take wins when playing in a good and patient frame of mind. Of course! I was genuinely thankful! Yahu: Wrong. You wanted to evoke a response You: As I am now, for this debate. It is a quite amusing why to pass the time I hope you see it in the same light as I. Yahu: Normally when people like you jest at me after games I simply close the window before reading the words. Only this morning I figured I'd tell you You're an outright insolent ass And there is no cure for being an ass, sir You: Well, good sir, I appreciate the gesture. Yahu: Splendid! You: I am quite pleased that you chose my window above all the other windows. Yahu: I'm sure you are. You ought to be more grateful, honestly. You: It allows me to poke fun at the way in which you choose to engage language. Your use of words such as Jape and Folly is a rarity in these parts and in these times. I am indeed quite grateful. Yahu: Those words are rarities becuase the mass of English speaking people are uneducated in their ever-so-powerful language... Especially in the USA You: The language itself can be quite beautiful, would you not agree? I myself am an avid reader of those who embraced the potential and possibility Shakespeare, Marlowe, Ben Johnson and the like. The british playwrights of the Elizabethan era. Yahu: Well... beauty is relative, so I'm compelled to say that expression itself is what may be considered .... aesthetically pleasing. English particularly is perchance a more ugly language than most To me, of course There is no doubt that it is the most powerful language of the world, as of now though You: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, one could say. I find the way words slip of the tongue quite eloquent, myself. Yahu: Yes yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder, relative, like I said Opinionated Earlier I only stated that Americans, generally, are .... stupid, for lack of a better word. You: Although I would find myself agreeing with you, that often what is most aesthetically pleasing is not the choice of frivolous language, but instead the heart of expression exemplified by those words. And I, sir, would expand that to include the vast majority of the world's populous. Yahu: Well yes, of course, regarding a more universal intelligence. Americans largely are actually quite the degree more educated than the rest of the world excluding some select countries I was referring to language in particular.... You: One could argue whether or not education is truly indicative of intelligence, of course Yahu: Americans have no respect for their vernacular, it seems. You: But when it comes to use of language, you may be right there is little effort made to preserve language in the way that some do the French, for instance. Yahu: I was measuring the 'intelligence' of nations. Of how a populace develops under an educatory standard. Of that measure I'd say the USA is outstanding As are a few other countries You: The USA is certainly not too far behind, but at the same time the nation is slowly slipping in that regard. Yahu: ^yes I agree Especially in the areas of linguistic study You: Sadly, it is hard not to. The evidence is quite clear, although some ignore it and THAT is because some feel it to be unneeded. In a time of slashed budgets people cut that which they feel to be superfluous. unfortunately Yahu: Yes You: I would argue that the arts and humanities and linguistics are far from superfluous Yahu: As would I Though, as you mentioned Those are the courses cut back upon You: rather they are the heart and soul of a nation. Wealth and power is all well and good, but we remember nations for their developments in the arts and sciences above all else. Yahu: Yes, wealth and power are merely means to an end. Though Though there really is no 'end' to an empire It's crumbling maybe You: Other than the propogation of itself, or lack thereof. In any case, good sir, this has been a fascinating and lively debate, but I unfortunately must be on my way. Good day to you. Yahu: Good day.
