He'd need a pretty good bracket since he will not have played against any of the players he'll face in qualifiers, if theres one player who he doesn't know their playstyle then thats goodbye for the whole situation. Look at the EG clan wars that have been going on recently. Face someone that you don't recognize their playstyle, even if they're "only" 2100 diamond and they will always have a chance at beating you, multiply that by the 6-7 opponents he will have to face, including potentially one previous RO16 or so player and he'd need to really get lucky. But believe it or not, Fruitdealer is NOT the only person in korea better than incontrol.

He has a chance, but things will have to go his way, look at Jinro for example. He didn't even face the top top players, but with just an average bracket he ran into one bad series with a mothership rush that he didn't expect and know how to prepare for.

Everyone will have a chance to qualify but the odds aren't in his favor.

Now that Foreign pro's are starting to gather over in Korea, they'll have the same environment where everyone can grow together. I guess its cool that he is going over, but I doubt he will even qualify. The skill level between this GSL and season 1 was huge. I imagine for GSL3 it will be even larger. Unless EG is paying for him it would be a large waste of his own money to go to Korea. Stick to what you are mediocre at, NA tournies.

I am excited to be in a place in my life where this is feasible. I have the means, I have the ability and I am motivated. Whether you think I am skilled enough or not should be irrelevant. A foreigner traveling to korea to try and qualify for a tourney should be a time of celebration and excitement. I could lose or I could win but none of you know any better. So why be negative?

Wish me luck or don't But I am going to have fun and work hard. When EG moves to korea I will have this under my belt to be that much more prepared to turn the Korea experience into something amazing.
