No. The $40 is to watch panels, interviews and which ever announcements they make. You will be able to see most of that on other gaming sites such as IGN, Gamespot and etc. But the tournament stream is free.

My other concern is that there are two tournaments going on: SC2 and WoW. How will both the tournaments split up the one stream?

If TLO would play terran, he could win. But ZvZ against sen, no way.
|
sen = overall winner
fruitdealer = showmatch winner
my important votes.
zerg fighting!
|
Maka is of course the favorite.
Still gonna root my ass off for TLO tho. I think it was mentioned elsewhere that race switching is allowed, so if that's the case TLO may have another edge in that he's skilled with both Zerg and Terran. Sen was a beast during beta, but dropped off the face of the earth for awhile so I don't know if his skills dulled or not. We'll see tomorrow :D.
Also, BoxeR vs. Fruit will be fun even though the outcome is very obvious.

I'm guessing it will be the same this year since their schedule somewhat indicates that.

No option to vote for Dimaga, not even listed with "others"? I think he's a strong chance after 1.1.2.
TLO as Zerg is possibly the one I'm most interested to see though, but I'd be shocked if he manages to win a series off racing like that.

Finals probably going to be Genius/Maka or Genius/Sen

I'm feeling Sen for the win. Exactly my feelings as well. A strong player, but with very unpredictable strenght. Like he says himself. Some days he can beat anyone others not so well. TLO makes strategies up on the spot, the polar opposite of IdrA, who likes to have build orders and things exactly mapped out.
In my opinion, that makes TLO a better player. The fact that he can improvise so successfully shows that he has a deeper skill at the game. Deeper than memorizing build orders and other spreadsheet worthy facts. Go TLO go! Never get discouraged man! I believe in you! In my opinion you need to harass more! ... !

Sorry to burst your bubble, but TLO is going Zerg, a race he doesn't practice as much, against Sen, who is easily top 5 zerg in the world. I don't see him getting past the first round.

Unfortunately for your opinion in the real world winning games is what matters, not showing off how "creative" you are, and in that respect IdrA is the better player.

I think Sen and genius are going to be upper bracket winners although im really rooting for demuslim out of country bias (and the fact he is sick good), and after watching sens stream i can conclude he is a beast and has a strong zvz which i think will take tlo out np considering he hasnt played random/zerg in a while, either way its gona make some entertaining games im interested to see how well the sea/taiwan players do.
Ps: get idrA in this tourny damnit.

huk fighting! cant wait to see these games with the virtual ticket
|
Voted for RedArchon just because hes from my country although he probably doesn't stand a chance at all.
|
I picked genius too win, however select knocked out so many good protoss players at mlg dc and most of the good zergs are at the bottom of the bracket like sen/dimaga so i can also see him making it to the semi's or even finals.

Making up strategies on the spot doesn't make you "good" because you don't know if it will work or not. And if your doing that in tourney'ss well thats why TLO isn't making it very far in the GSL because he doesn't have a set build order from what I gather from his interviews.

wow people are really voting against maka and nexgenius thinking select and dimaga will beat them? hahah
|
Rooting for Sen, country bias. He may not be the best in the world in terms of results, but if you've ever seen his streams, you'll jizz your pants. He has repeatedly beaten IdrA in both live and 2-0'ed him on stream just a week ago. <3

SelecT vs NexGenius, TLO vs Sen and Dimaga vs Maka are all ridiculous first round matches, I think it's pretty hard to pick any of them.
I really want to see Sen do well, since he doesn't get the chance to play in too many other tournaments. This is also a really good chance to gauge the strength of some of the players from different regions.
Edit: Also, 35% of people think Boxer can take Fruit in a best of X series? I'd like to think so too, but realistically Fruit is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge favourite assuming they both play serious

pretty sure Fenix is gonna take the whole tourney.
