Lol, and he's Canadian. When I read that I automatically assumed he was American. The only countries Americans know about are ones attatched to us and ones we've been in wars with.
what about the song they always play during the intro of the players, when there's a bunch of headshots flying through and you see the name and race? Anyone knows?
What baffles me more is how audio guys always managed to find such obscure songs to use for their programs, especially when they aren't even in your native language.
I'd say only about half are obscure. I mean Three Days Grace is pretty popular. I believe In This Moment is fairly popular as well. Just Surrender probably isn't very well known but I've loved them for a while. But I do agree whoever is doing the musical choices at GOM has great taste in music.
What is the two songs they play when they introduce both players as they are in the booth? One of them has a pretty nasty guitar solo to it..doesn't seem to be in that list unless I'm mistaken.
But ya, there are two diff ones for the two separate players they introduce.

Yeah, check above, I'm fairly sure it's the Senser song you're talking about, but they do alternate songs each set.

Give a random american 20 year old a blank map of the world (borders, no name) and ask him to point out Afghanistan for you.
If they actually have some geography you can play naming the coastal countries starting from Russia and going counter clockwise. Rename countries if they come back. It's a fun game to play, remember Gibraltar, the Russian enclave south of Lituania and Est-Let-Lit :p.
