I envy those who can watch the HD Stream.

I hope one day the infrastructure will allow foreigners to watch that too, maybe for next season. I'd gladly pay $50 for non laggy HD feed.

Since I am never going to be up at 5am to watch the games with my full time job, I purchased a pass so I could view all the VODs. VOD quality is really quite shoddy, but I want to make sure it's not just my setup (Win7, ATI 5770). I did try with Firefox, Chrome, and IE, all yielded the same result. The VODs are completely unfiltered, there is no scaling/smoothing, it looks like Flash with "low quality" selected, even though flash is correctly set to high quality.

Well I watched the free stream and I´m happy with the quality. Wont complain as long as it runs smoothly and I can see whats going on and the stream run fine for me most of the time.

But if GSL is really successfull maybe they will aquire servers in the us and eu to stream from. But for that they either have to get a lot of viewers or sell a lot of tickets I guess.

i Bought the 20$ package to watch VODs and it is NOT worth it. quality of vods is same as low quality stream. For 20$ a month i expect HD period, nothing else. ESL was 3.5 euro per month for MUCH better quality.

I agree that HD streams and VOD's would be nice but why not read what are you buying before you buy them? If I remember correctly they do say the stream is HQ and HD and only 600? or was it 500?

I DID read before i bought it and VODs were suppose to be 500, not 300.

It's quite blurry but it's free so I don't have any problems with it. If I had any extra money to throw around I would pay for HQ though.

Something that's mildly irritating is that the HD streams will only work in the GOM media player which is Windows only, what about people who want to watch on mac/linux/mobile devices?

Getting my salary next week and was planning to buy premium service but if it's quality like low stream then I won't bother yet.
I'll be better off waiting for next season which hopefully will be successfull and with better streams.

I'm really disappointed. Blizzard is definitely losing their reputation for quality with SC2.

I know many people have said that SC:BW could never become as popular a game as SC2 because of the graphics but when the stream quality is this bad it makes no difference.

Gomtv and Blizzard should have made a partner like glhf.tv to stream to non-Koreans. Either they didn't have time or they're all just terrible at their jobs. Probably both.

I was very happy with the SQ stream today(except for it crashing once), the quality is great for a free stream.

I payed the $20 before the first day, and so far I have gotten about 50% of my value.

First day, HQ unusable all day.
Second day HQ usable first 4 games.
Third day, HQ usable last 3 games. (Did they tune down free stream?)

Several times, the video has skipped for several minutes, meaning that I miss big parts of some of the games.

Video quality on HQ is about what i expected, still far away from HD. Vods are really bad quality, that is very disappointing.

Been able to use HQ no issues except for Day 1. But the VODs are pretty poor quality, and even on the HQ stream, I can barely make out the unit counting station as well as hit points and whatnot.

TL is only hurting the GSL. Teamliquid needs to refuse to put restreams on front page. There is like over 5k people usually in a restream. If GSL actually got them numbers, better things could happen

I'll add my 2 cents here. I am interested in watching the tournament. Watching the streams is out of the question due to the time difference. I would like to watch some of the VODs if the price and quality is reasonable. I will not watch all or even close to all because of time constraints. While the price cut was good $20 still seems high for mediocre quality when I will only watch maybe 10 of them. I don't feel GSL is offering any sort of option that I am interested in. I'd rather not watch illegal VODs or restreams but it seems like I have to do that or not watch at all. I should add that video quality is pretty important to me, if it's not at least 720p I'm not going to watch it. I may be an unusual demographic but Gretech may want to do some market research on this.
