I think IdrA deserves a real salary. Players like Moon, Grubby etc. got paid a LOT by European teams.
Time to step it up, buddy (MYM, SK, whoever is payin the most), and collect money for doing what you're best at. After all this time, I think you deserve a good salary with which you can make a decent, decent living.
Time to move to Germany, imo Isn't EPS paying a lot to its players? But IdrA has had some history with ESL, right?

I dont think he will have problems to find a fitting team, since hes one of the very best players in the world.

I would think oGs or MYM.

There's no foreign team that would be able to give IdrA enough money to be able to live in Korea. The cost of living in Korea is actually quite high. That was one of the huge benefits to living in a pro-team environment like the one at CJ. Maybe he wasn't getting an amazing salary, but his room&board + food (inside the dormitory) were completely comped, he didn't pay for those. Try to figure out the cost of living into a number and add that to the salary he received (if any) and essentially that was his REAL salary.
In addition, I wanna look at some facts: a) Coach Cho retired b) Pro-Teams are cutting B-team players c) This past draft, had the fewest drafted players d) IdrA's contract was over and he was playing SC2
I think it was more of a mutual agreement between the two to not extend his contract any longer while some of you guys are making it sound like idra just told cj he was leaving and that was it.
Best of luck to IdrA in finding a new team, and hopefully pro-teams will pop-up soon. However, for now I think joining oGs would be his best bet, situationally. Then depending on the things to come in the future he can either leave oGs or stay as just a clan member.

He probily going to join oGs I would imagine. Hes already in korea.

It'd be interesting for him to join Liquid, but I really can't see that happening..

You're wrong.

He definitely needs to take his time when choosing his next team, find out what their long term goals are as well as immediate benefits. Why am I stating the obvious? I don't know.

It's already been stated oGs isn't currently looking for any foreign players. Also it wouldn't be a very good move to join a Korean team without any knowledge of the language I'd say.
But still, best of luck!

I think he will join oGs, he will get the same benefits from them, as he would if he joined TL. He wud be with them and living with them all.

wow i almost missed this because i never read this forum :O
it has NEVER occurred to me that idra would leave cj...

I don't think Liquid wants his bad manners to be honest. The team is not all about skill its about manners as well and Idra does not have a good reputation in that sense. But he might go with oGs though.

There aren't very many decent team choices for him for SC2 at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised if he gave it a little time to see which teams are developing, and just played in tournaments on his own for the time being.

So now that he left CJ, whats his visa status? Moreover, I'm not quite familiar with this but are non-Korean gaming companies able to sponsor visas for foreigner gamers?
|
I'm envisioning an epic team with Artosis, Idra, Rekrul, and FirebatHero. All they have to do is convince Rek and FBH to play SC2 with them.
|
why the hell would idra go to ogs , there is nothing og abt him. that and everyone in korea knows he bms and whines alot so i bet he gets picked up by a top euro team looking for a place in korea. if not he just has to get through the gsl and someone will sign him for sure

What is encouraging is the korean comments about the interview mentioning surprise at even foreigners not liking kespa, it means there is some serious change coming in korean E-sports that korean public opinion is turning against kespa.
|
I also noticed the OSL stage had Blizzard Entertainment logo at some part on the ro8. Is that pretty normal or is Blizzard starting to win out over Kespa?

I'm enjoying all the comments in this thread from people who clearly haven't read the thread...
Can't wait to see what's in IdrA's future! I personally am rooting for Media's second coming

The friend he is gonna live with is Artosis right?
