Incontrol isn't bringing up the most important point. 2nd place is great but he needs to adapt not because if he keeps getting 2nd instead of 1st every tournament is bad, it's because from his match with Idra, it looks like he wouldn't have gotten close to 2nd this tournament if he was matched up with a good zerg at any time in the loser's bracket. I think Incontrol was trying to say that the entire time when he talked about "adapting" and how SeleCT wouldn't do well in the future, but he never said those words. ![]()

And the anecdote about Machine asking SelecT for help as a practice partner is pretty revealing as well. I mean I can understand why EG doesn't like him if SelecT actually slighted Machine in that aspect.

If it were remotely competitive, I would say you still had a pretty good point. But it wasn't even close. I'm not saying a zerg as good as Idra would have done the same earlier in the tournament. I'm saying it wasn't even close with Idra. It wasn't competitive at all. Because it wasn't competitive at all, it looks like (speculation) that a good zerg would have been able to beat him earlier in the bracket.

Slush is an amazing zerg and he did beat him so the point that he would've lost against a good zerg in the losers bracket is wrong. I'm not saying his play vs Zergs is the strongest because it really isnt, but its not awful. That he needs to adapt has yet to be proven, he played what, 10+ games against protoss in the LB and everyone always knew what he was going to do yet no one could handle it. Select has shown over and over that he is easily one of the top foreigners, especially after all the people he had to go through in the LB yesterday and how many games he had to play. That's true. I'm just trying to get in Incontrol's head a little. It felt like he had an argument but couldn't really get it out.

None of the protoss players did builds that could have abused Select's builds, but to be fair it's not easy to figure out the correct build in such a short time frame. At least should have avoided stupid shit like hidden proxy robo and 9 phoenix builds.

If you have one build, no matter how fucking good it is eventually you will lose every single game. People aren't retarded and this game isn't solved(thank god). So it's a word of advice that comes off bitter because everyone saying it lost to SeleCT.

The amount of select trashing at the end when they thought the stream was turned off was hilarious though :D

He is undeniably one of the top 5 NA players now. In the long run, I would not be surprised if he becomes the #2 NA player after IdrA. Talking about SeleCT as a "one trick pony" sounds like sour grapes.

Same problem And how would SelecT be a onetrick pony? lol, shame on you if he does his one trick about 8 times in a row and you can't stop it lol, if it works, why stop Id say that all the protosses he played are onetrick ponys too then if they had no bulds taht could deal with a standard 2rax FE or a 3rax agression build No-one went templar, always just going for the Colossi, i mean, selects build is pretty much for handling colossi tech

He has some awesome proxy gate pressure builds. Kiwikaki got impressive win on metalop against select, but other then that, select just seemed to crush the protoss there:p Why didnt anyone try templar tech? Archons tank marauder shots really well, and you got feedback against the drops, not to mention storm is really awesome aswell. Is it a huge risk to get to it before you die ?
