It's pretty obvious that SeleCT is easily one of the best foreigners, It's impossible to say right know who is the best for sure and make a list after so little time, sure jinro, haypro are in korea, but they haven't really done anything yet. It's obvious that TLO and idra are among the best but i honestly would put SeleCT on at least the same level, up there with them too. Winning 2 TL opens in a row with 512(?) players in each is VERY impressive. But watching him at MLG, seeing how many matches he played through without resting even the slightest, and watching him beat just so many amazing players to get to the finals really made me realize how good he actually is. It would've been pretty damn unbelievable if he had won after and im not sure if anyone expected him to after all the mental exhaustion. People bashing people for using the same build orders all the time clearly arent familiar with starcraft. SeleCT isn't really a "foreigner" though. He's Korean and just in the USA for school.

He played well in the tournament but his TvZ was horrible. Also I'm sure you are not saying that inControL and Tyler aren't familiar with starcraft? :o

Frankly it's disappointing to see that arguably the best player in America right now is not receiving the reputation he deserves solely because he isn't here posting, or appearing on podcasts to defend himself. Thankfully he also appears to be the kind of person who does not care what people think of him (why else would he make that comment about the NA zergs? what will happen when he loses on the ladder to an NA zerg now? :p) SeleCT is great, and while his style may be singular, I still learn a lot more from watching his replays than I do from watching replays of anyone else at that tournament, bar HuK, Kiwi and IdrA

Considering that SeleCT is a mass gamer, I wouldn't expect him to have a very strong TvZ unless he actually had a good zerg to practice against.

If you only download one audio-based StarCraft 2 related file this year, let it be this most recent SotG! =D

If you think iNcontroL is funny in these podcasts, imagine what it's like in a room full of people cracking up at everything he says, it was amazing. If you only download one audio-based StarCraft 2 related file this year, let it be this most recent SotG! =D we cant because the link is dead v_v

Execution is everything. And yet, apparently it's a character flaw for SelecT, but not Idra.

Anyway, doing exactly the same build over and over again in a tournament is not good. Doing it most of the time is fine, but you do have to vary a bit.
