Jeez try to to make Tyler seem like all he does is complain about balance much? I never asked where tyler complained about balance lol. You quoted that I never said hey somebody grab me a quote of tyler complaining about balance please!
I said he hardly if ever does! Read again before trying to go out of your way to prove someone wrong.
Also the point i was making is that he didn't complain about the ramps because of imbalance he complained because he was suprised they where so small. Which is why he was looking for an answer. You took what he said at the end of the Mana game as he was complaining about balance which he wasn't. You then used that to say that he contradicts himselfs. Or has a double standard. You would have been better off replying to him with that wall of text about what he said before on SoTG. Instead of using the Mana game cause that had nothing to do with imbalance.

JP and Day9 both play random, no? I dunno why they're not able to argue from the Terran/Zerg pov when necessary. Maybe JP's level isn't high enough, but Day9 should be able to.
The show with Socke was pretty fun because it was an absolutely in-depth show with three top tier protosses on board... but that's only good as a one-off thing. They should definitely invite a pro Terran and a pro Zerg if they want to talk balance (while keeping the RRPP pillars, obviously. :D).

Hopefully Day9 plays Zerg after this thesis defense so there can be a Zerg voice on the show. PainUser should also become a regular for the Terran voice.

Holy shit... if you guys don't like their opinions, then why do you listen to the show? They ARE the show. God damn, this thread is out of control.
Tyler hang in there man! We're still here rooting for ya Idra doesn't whine when JP asks him to talk about something else, he only whines when its time. Tyler complained/whined for no reason at the beginning which brought down the entire show. WAAAH WAAAH JP WHY YOU ALWAYS ASK ME FIRST?!!?!? Who cares? Tyler doesn't want to answer a question first and you get upset and want to replace him? I feel bad for you if it really upset you that much. I personally thought the whole show was funny because of how awkward the depressing mood was.

I don't normally post on this thread, but I just want to say the following:
Tyler has always been one of my favourite regulars on SOTG. Not to take anything away from any of the others, but every time he comes forward with any kind of analysis, I find myself thinking back to what was said days, even weeks later. I play Zerg and I can't make any sort of claim about skill, but I consider his analysis to be the sort you'd expect from an expert panel discussion on any professional sport. He can look at a play and discuss not just what everyone sees, but the possibilities and pitfalls that aren't immediately apparent, but make such perfect sense as to become obvious right after he says it.
I was saddened to hear he was disappointed and preferred to keep quiet on the most recent SOTG, and I thought I'd post my best wishes that he can get back on the horse and in high spirits.
Sincerely hope you can get in the zone and have a great result in the upcoming NASL match and your future tournaments, Tyler.

Omg, i'm gonna do this, I'm actually going to dare jump in an argument on team liquid. I like the show, i love the show, and its all good. I frankly don't care whether its 3 toss or whatever, its not like what they say are facts anyway.
Having said that, yes, it would be interesting to get a non protoss player but everytime that happens, whenever someone makes a claim he gets demolished by incontrol and tyler along with a laughing day9 and jp. Yes, it is funny, but its sad too. One time they had that terran player, i think painuser maybe? He just said he thinks DTS are better than banshees and they just kept mocking him for that for like 15 minutes. Someone could be a 100% right but when you are being taunted like that , you just look like a tool.
ok bai

so actually yeah, fuck feedback via forums and comments. blizzard can see the games. that's all that matters In addition to this I'm fairly sure Blizzard is regularly in touch with progamers to hear their thoughts on balance. So to whine about balance you not only have to assume that blizzard are not reviewing the huge amounts of raw data available to them but also that you understand the game better than the progamers blizzard are in contact with. yep, blizzard contacts pros privately. public comments on balance are 99.9999% unproductive. they are for your personal satisfaction only. if discussing balance online isn't a satisfying experience, then stop doing it. lol nony your actions are contradictory, you complain about PvP (ramps) in your game vs Mana which was broadcasted to thousands of people and yet you tell the most posters here to an equivalent of stfu and point fingers at how bad pro Zergs players conduct themselves. Imagine how frustrating forcefields (ramps) are for Zergs in PvZ or the entire PvZ matchup !!! Uh did he complain about the ramps because he thought they where the old ones or the new ones? Or did he complain cause he thought it was imbalanced? I think it was the first which is why he asked the question why the ramps are so small. Like he was suprised which is why he was asking for a reply. Not because he was screaming imba. Tsk Tsk Tyler hardly if ever screams imbalance that I can remember. Some of you read what you want to read. of c not coz most imbalance threads focus on P as being imbalanced: what professional, who can make money from a game, want their race to get weaker? seriously no person would do that - ppl who're playing the op race/class or w/e want it to stay as op or imbalanced or w/e for as long as possibe... More so when they're making money from it lol You can look at the post above yours to see they didnt always think that no but point is that atm there are many many ppl calling protoss op. i play protoss and idc if my race gets nerfed, i just like watching MC (and tasteless, man i'd get him ravage me lol) but regardless the point is that becoz idra can make money from SC2: he wants it to be balanced, likewise if Zerg was op idra would defend it because zerg being op increases his chance to make money from sc2. greed is powerful lol This has been pointed out many times, IdrA has not been afraid to call out perceived imbalances for zerg's as well. In the early days he was one of the bigger advocates for 1 supply roaches being imbalanced and recently with the infestor change he thought (doesn't think the same anymore) that they were going to be too strong against P. Stop talking out of your ass. lol u can't defend 1 supply roaches not being op ... however protoss is weird coz it's only op against zerg, terran deals with it fine and i'm not sure why - on paper terran should die to the deathball with more ease coz it cannot be delayed (fungals, broods, ling surrounds etc) however im pretty sure in this scenario EVERY protoss player knows their race is a lot easier to be efficient with that a zerg, but they defend it - whyy? answer is pretty obvious tbh.
because with 1-2 adequately placed EMP, Protoss Death Ball become Protoss Dead Ball Go watch MVP vs Sen last game on GSLWC semi final to see the perfect example of it
MVP was behind the whole game and 1 emp win him the game

Artosis on next show would be good. Talk about his new recruit and all.
|
Ask Artosis how he feels being in top 200 of Master's league instead of grandmaster
I'd kinda feel bad for him but the hilarity and rants that would ensue would be great.

Also vikings fare better vs VRs and with range 9 you can make fewer vikings because they can't get picked off as easily due to their range. Bio with medivacs is also more cost efficient vs gateway than Zerg and Terran as a whole is more population efficient.

Lol... Its quite obvious why tyler was complaining... seriously have you not seen Crevasse people? Originally its a big ramp with a rock, however NASL failed to mention to Tyler that they modded the ramps. Obviously, tyler trained on the regular Crevasse instead of the NASL version. If they played on the reg Crevasse, tyler would have indefinitely won that
