I agree with Kennigit, that the last thing I want to hear is a non-pro give shitty advice about the game, or bad evaluations of other players. But it might be interesting to get a fan's perspective, or a commentator's perspective on other issues ... like the TL forums, MLG and GSL and how they're run, etc. DJWheat or Tasteless would be good to have as guests. Even Anna wasn't that bad. Even though Day 9 knows a lot about the game, he's more representative of the fan/spectator's perspective of the game. So whenever he misses a cast, I notice the overall show feels IMBA. Nony and InControl are great hosts, but they advocate mostly for Pro's exclusively (as they should be). Great example is the PTR discussion, where Day 9 had to give people a reality check and remind everyone how rare it is for a game company that has already cashed-in on their game release to be so diligent in improving it. Sure, the PTR is useless for Pro's ... but what about the other 95% of Joe Blow SC players? Oh yeah, great show. Nony N'OWNed it up that episode. | ||

as far as kennegit's leak or whatever, TL's idea makes no sense to me. pros don't want to post because people who are stupid reply to them thinking they know what they're talking about when they don't. highlighting the few times they give in and actually post will do nothing but make it more likely that they get even more stupid replies than they already do now and feel even less likely to post. how does that encourage good people to post at all? the problem was never that people couldn't find the good posts, it was that there aren't any good posts to find because the good posters gave up posting. i was looking forward to them doing something about this and i'm pretty pessimistic about it's chances now. | ||

JP made it clear last week that this was going to be more of a "fan appreciation" episode. he has kept his word and gave us a great piece of entertainment. so why are you angry? there's plenty of more serious discussion on GSL finals on TL, is it really so bad that these guys who have given us so much all year decided to have some fun? | ||
