There isn't so much happening in the SC2 scene each week that it requires 3 hours to cover it all. The last few I've switched off with about an hour to ago as I can feel the time dragging once it gets to around the 2 hour mark.
Since you have the liberty to turn it off whenever you want, why does it matter if it's longer than you want to listen to?
It's valid to say that parts of the podcast aren't relevant to you (or SC), and that having a long podcast makes it annoying because you feel like you have to sit through all of it to hear the relevant parts. But now that they provide timestamps, I say make them as long as they want to. I happen to enjoy even the non-SC parts of the podcast, and I like to play it while I'm doing schoolwork or cleaning up my place. For me, the longer the better. I just like listening to discussion by people who happen to share some of the same interests as I do.
Again, I can sympathize with feeling like you have to listen to the whole podcast when only half of it is relevant to what you want to hear, but the timestamps I feel really helped with that. As long as the hosts are okay with it, why does it matter if it's long? That's like complaining that cable TV wastes your time because it's on 24 hours a day when the stuff you're interested in only makes up 1 hr of the air time.

That's the beauty of a podcast, split it in to pieces if you don't want to listen to it all at once. Listened to it during my busrides for two or three days last week, it was awesome. Although lauging out loud for apparently no reason does result in some strange looks.
I agree completely with this. I listen to it on my way to the university, so three hours of podcast last for about three days. And I even re-listen to it for the rest of the week so a full week of State of the game, which is awesome
