I dont get this why he is upset. He can just enter the tournament like everyone else if he wants to, without beeing invited. He got 3rd at the single most stacked tournament of the year in MLG Dallas, he has won several smaller tournaments aswell as Socal LAN. What has Madfrog, tarson, morrow, lucifron or thorzain accomplished lately? This isn't about who deserves an invite, its about who is a big name and who isn't, Painuser is clearly not a big name for the Dreamhack tourney admins. Madfrog got invited because he is a legend. Thorzain was NOT an invite, he qualified. Are you seriously comparing small online cups to major offline events? I guess whatever make you look correct, right? And why arent you mentioning painusers MLG DC and Raleigh result when you mention a 9-12th place for lucifron? Do you not know what go4sc2 cups are? 1024 player tournaments with euros top top players participating. Just because the prize money is not as big doesn't mean the games count less against high quality players. And you actually think i wrote the wins down myself? lol. There are these lovely sites like http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-international/playershttp://gosugamers.net/starcraft2/rankingsI'm not saying painuser isn't as good as the others or better. But he hasn't proven AS MUCH that he can consistently do well over and over and over against high quality players. I would say beating several of the very top EU and US players in several MLGs is way bigger than participating and doing well in a EU only online event vs scrubs up until the playoffs. A stacked offline tourney vs online play is like day and night nd if you don't understand this I can't help you. And I'm just calling you out for citing incorrect facts to backup your argument, you missed out on a bunch of results. Doesn't matter if you didn't write them yourself, you didn't care to check if they were complete.
You're just too blind to realize that there's a scene in Europe as well. Offline/online, who cares? It's about who's a good player and who's not. The euro scene is big and there are highly competitive cups each weekend.
Sorry if it doesn't match your view of the world but take a look at the monthly rankings here:

Let me guess, there's plenty of names you don't recognize correct? Realize that everyone of those players might as well be PainUser.

You have both, how great is that now?
Also why didn't PainUser didn't sign up for the BYOC qualifier?
As far as I can see HuK signed up for that right as he missed his spot in GSL (and luckily got the invite of IdrA later on)

Yeah I mean MLG Dallas or Go4SC2 cup #341 had equally stacked fields, I totally agree with you here. And I also understand how winning a zotac or a go4sc2 cup makes you a top player because there's like 1024 top players all competing for that 50 bucks, both american and european players. And the fact that its played online just make the tournament more legit because you get to face more players, Right?

IdrA had an invite, Thorzain qualified, machine actually wanted to go (for the BYOC qual) but it seems EG didn't have the money because they already spent it on idra... and look at morrows achievement list again.
and as i edited in above, why didn't painuser apply for the BYOC?

You're silly if you really believe comparing 1-2 decent results in a tournament with what you'd call a "stacked field" to 10+ top place finishes in tournaments where they have to face equally as good if not better players is going to be in your favor.

MLG Dallas was the best tourny of the MLG tournys so far I think. There were lots of great players. But mostly it was still just sub-par american scrubs like the first two ones.

imho you can't really take the invite from any of those 15invited players (maybe madfrog, but he has swedish-awesomeness-bonus i guess) it is probably THE best lineup you could get with mainly european players...
and i can totally understand if the first big european offline event since IEM cologne has a euro-heavy lineup

Sorry if it doesn't match your view of the world but take a look at the monthly rankings here: http://www.esl.eu/eu/sc2/go4sc2Let me guess, there's plenty of names you don't recognize correct? Realize that everyone of those players might as well be PainUser. ^^ MLG Dallas was the best tourny of the MLG tournys so far I think. There were lots of great players. But mostly it was still just sub-par american scrubs like the first two ones. Sorry, America <<<< Europe ;o.
are you serious? did you actually look at the lineup of MLG dallas?

I dont get this why he is upset. He can just enter the tournament like everyone else if he wants to, without beeing invited. He got 3rd at the single most stacked tournament of the year in MLG Dallas, he has won several smaller tournaments aswell as Socal LAN. What has Madfrog, tarson, morrow, lucifron or thorzain accomplished lately? This isn't about who deserves an invite, its about who is a big name and who isn't, Painuser is clearly not a big name for the Dreamhack tourney admins. how does you post make any sense then? if there were regular events on the scale of MLG in europe you'd have just as many "sup-par european scrubs" in there as you have american ones at MLG
but yeah... wait, something like that never happened, so lets just make stupid claims for the lulz
and no, a two-times-a-week-go4sc2 cup is not really comparable to a MLG, IEM, GSL or Dreamhack event

I think Painuser sounds bitter and its awkward to listen to. It is a european lan event and thus has mostly european players in it. Incontrol and painuser criticised the players involved at the group stages but all seem to be 2500+ players which is decent. Its like some of the players you get at MLG, maybe spades, torch, incontrol himself?. Simply being in the european scene and not being known to painuser doesnt make you any less deserving of a spot, or any less of a player.
