I am critical a different way, which I feel is more productive. I message the HotS directly through twitter, or PM on TL. I show my support by subscribing to JPs stream on Twitch and a small amount paying monthly and support players I like by buying products from their sponsors. I truly enjoy SotG every time it is on and I want to have it back on a weekly basis. And I don’t want JP and the guys to feel like one comment or off color joke is all it takes to turn the entire community against them.
So yes, I am going to shout down any people who continue to stink up the thread with the same discussion, rehashed over and over that will accomplish nothing. As you said, this is the place to do it.

i really don't like what they (or mostly Geoff) were talking about saying tournaments should/will use formats that favor foreigners over koreans to increase viewer numbers. how is that fair competition? punishing players for being better is pretty ridiculous.

As Tyler would say, Chill people..just Chill. It may of been mean, but I think before people start pulling out their pitchforks they should ask how Scarlett felt. If it didn't offend her in anyway, than why are people here offended. In the end, it was light humor, on a show that is called a Drunk State of The Game. If it really offended Scarlett, I am sure 2GD would apologize to her. The community needs to stop this sort of "hive" like action against people everytime they do something a little out of color. It was supposed to be a joke, whether you thought it was funny or not...it was not a hate crime. Well, drunk people say stupid stuff. Shocker. I don't think it is necessary to make a big deal out of everything that is ever said, unless you have so little to live for other than this, which would be kind of sad.
In my opinion, the show was fun, I enjoy its laid back overall feel, and I honestly miss it when it does not happen.
The only thing that bugs me is when InControl said that the koreans were inherently better at sc2 (maybe to provoke some kind of reaction) and that no one responded. I feel it's something that is plaguing this community much more than misplaced jokes or tactless remarks. I personnaly feels like this defeatist attitude is holding back not only the western gamers from having the confidence needed to shine against koreans gamers, but also the viewers from holding the true hopes that their champion can make it to the top. At the end of the day, more people should remind all of us that koreans are not mechanically engineered androïds, they are humans the same as everyone, and if they can do it, then the western gamers can do it too. I just wanted to answer Incontrol even if he doesn't read this^^
PS: keep on doing the show, it's a lot of fun to watch!

Theres kind of no way around it. Everytime there has been a tournament and if a foreigner gets into the finals vs a korean or even top 4 the viewership SKYROCKETS but if its Korean vs Korean in the finals or top 4 then the viewership drops tremendously. They didn't like saying thats how it might be for 2013 but they think it might happen. Tournaments WANT the viewers. Whats the best way to get the viewers? To make money? Korean vs Foreigner.
