In summary: this is State of the Game in name only. What the fuck. There are plenty of stars. They may not be as well known as the original 4 but they are out there. I certainly knew every single one of them.... There were good jokes. Just because we don't have Geoff spouting out his amazing one liners all the time doesn't mean that there aren't any good jokes. Sometimes humor doesn't have to be so in your face. And there probably will be days when guests like Geoff appear on the show and make hilarious jokes. Originally...State of the Game was all about discussion of the game and what is happening in tourneys and all that shit. As less and less happened there did tend to be a bit more filler but it was always about discussing the current happenings. This is State of the Game, better than ever before. JP took a break, is putting tons of effort into making everything look crisp and high quality. ACTUAL "MERITORICAL" DISCUSSIONS are happening this time. We just had a WHOLE SHOW with NO BREAKS, no PAUSES, no gaps AT ALL. That's AMAZING. QXC was always on the ball. He had amazing responses to every prompt. TOD was funny and insightful. Apollo gave some of his unique perspective as well, and JP was very tidy about moving on to the next topic in a quick, orderly fashion. Major just being on the show was hilarious, even if he didn't say that much. Slasher was Slasher, meaning great. They had plenty of content to talk about the whole time. Yes, part of what made SOTG great was the name value, but I definitely think that if you just give this more time it will easily exceed your expectations. Can't wait.

Production value was certainly up, it felt more like the original sotg in the sense of the topics covered and bunch of them at that, and everyone seemed to have a bit more synergy then I expected out the first show.

I love the new logo and the overlay. qxc and Apollo were awesome. It felt really professional and fun. I loved the moment when qxc said how amazing it was that Blizzard made a game so popular that people would make shows just to talk about the game and PEOPLE WOULD WATCH THEM! Great stuff.

I must say, I got one hell of a nap during the last hour of the show. Outstanding really. OH, the show was decent. Shlasher or what ever his name is has no biz in esports reporting rumors and the like. Should call him ParizhiltonSc2 his reporting was just trashy and unsubstantiated. If you have sources on something, quote the sources. If you cannot quote the sources it doesnt exist, and you are creating or spreading a rumor, which discredits you and the shows you are on as journalist.

A great example from Twitter (@SMoriak -- you rule): Using this format when viewing a video / information captured from the other PC + Show Spoiler + ![]() I think it's great, and would love to see a screen that shows links and stuff you guys bring into the show. Just keep in mind that a lot of us also only listen to the mp3 while we do other stuff, so try not to rely on it too much ![]()

Please dont spend so much time explaining the entire situation and all the drama going on. I know what u wanted to do by bringing Slasher on and explaining the entire thing, but it just took sooooo long. No offense to Slasher of course, but stuff like the SlayerS thing fits more on a show like Live on Three, where the show is more about the esports scene overall. Its much much better when u get guests like Apollo, QXC and ToD's opinion on stuff like the metagame, blizzard, tournaments, HOTS etc etc, rather than some shitty esports business drama in Korea, which they probably dont know that much about anyways. For stuff like the Slayers thing, just get the guests quick thoughts on the subject, and then move on. Dont bring Slasher on to spend ages talking about it (I like Slasher on LO3, but he doesnt fit on SOTG) I dont know if other people is interested in stuff like the Slayers thing, but personally, I found that really unfit for SOTG, and very uninteresting. Other than that, great dicussions (especially HOTS and Blizzard discussions), great guests, I really liked that u had all the topics listed, I liked what u were trying to do, by showing gameplay and stuff in the bottom right of the screen, the only problem was that you couldnt see what was going on, especially when it was text.
