Also, any word on an episode this week? Day9 takes 20.000$ per Event, so he probably doesn't get enough for SotG If this is true I will be extremely shocked. Day9 is killing esports , Just joking.. When was the last time Day9 even casted a premier tournament, DHW? If he was getting paid that much per event you would see him at a lot more of them. Or less because people tournament organizers wouldn't want to pay him that much lol. Or maybe he's a corporate liason and caster for an entire series of events, and therefore he's getting paid even more because of a deal with a tasty caffeinated drink maker. Entirely possible, I really don't like that event organizers are trying to create a monopoly on casters, mostly MLG thus far but we'll see if Day9 only does Red Bull events for the rest of time I suppose.
I think he just doesn't have time. He has a daily to run, and also to take care of his subscribers on top of that. In the free time he has left he probably can barely run one or two events- which happen to be AHGL and Red Bull this time.

Today will be an episode of State of The Game???, what time???
|
We go live on Friday, May 04 12:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) with Twitch.tv/StateOfTheGame.
Artosis, iNcontroL, NonY, and JP sit down for a good ol' State of the Game to discuss a recent vlog, SC2 news, and the latest balance thoughts from Blizzard.
Also, Day[9] is beyond busy and because of that is / will be on a hiatus from the show. Wheat can't make it tomorrow night. So we keepin it chill with us four.

Day9 said he is too busy and doesn't have time for SOTG on a regular basis. He will pop on from time to time
|
That's really sad news, but its nice of him to give the notice that he'll be on a hiatus instead of continually breaking commitments.
Hopefully he'll still be able to make it on the show from time to time. I know I'll still be watching regardless.

I know this probably isn't possible and that's fine, but I'd love to see Sheth, Machine, Idra or another Zerg on just to see what their take on the proposed Zerg changes are. Especially since with that custom map that Blizzard published available to try it out on. I'm sure you guys will cover it fine though.

Yeah, wouldn't mind having IdrA on again.

Get Chill & DJWheat on. Not only since weapon of choice was a good show, but Chill would give up all his TSL4 secrets for 15 minutes of fame.

I think the incredibly fast rise of LoL on Korea could be an interesting topic. They touched on it on Live On Three. Wheat was wondering if the real impetus behind all the recent deals and announcements from Blizzard is that they were caught flat footed in their home base, and are now scrambling to catch up:
http://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/t4blc/anyone_in_korea_is_league_of_legends_already_the/
The guest said that PC bangs have already moved to LoL,and that LoL ProLeague has higher ratings than Starcraft on cable TV: http://www.twitch.tv/onemoregametv/b/316940574?t=49m30s
"The first day of League of Legends has a bigger audience than an entire week of GSL viewers." http://www.twitch.tv/onemoregametv/b/316940574?t=58m45s
I'd be interested to see Artosis' take on the pulse in Korea right now. Is LoL ALREADY the new "Brood War", culturally? Has it backdoored its way to a win without anyone noticing? Is it too late for Blizzard (Or Dota 2, or anyone else) to catch up at this point?

LoL new Brood War? No fucking way.

That's what I thought too -- but they said on Cable TV it's already more popular than SC. And the PC bangs are already all LoL too. Sounds crazy, right?

aww,oh well still an awesome watch without him

Yeah Id love to see Idra on there!

if day9 can't make it on a regular basis then he should be relegated to "guest" instead of "pillar"
also, get a zerg for tomorrow to talk about the proposed changes

Normally i'd say he doesn't add much, but considering he suggested the proposed overload speed increase like 2 years ago he would be the appropriate zerg.

And honestly, the team scene for lol is really interesting to get behind, the production is also spot on for their events too. (IPL4 comes to mind, they had a much better production value and events to watch, HIGHLY entertaining compared to the sc2 counterpart. LOTS of company involvement, something we NEVER see from blizzard)
