From JP's Twitter: + Show Spoiler + itmeJP We don't record for another 2h15m and then we'll talk for ~1h30m and then it'll take ~30m for me to upload and edit. about 1 hour ago via web

Tbh, Starcraft isn't quite as simple as watching the replay and fixing the timings. =P
A lot of the game still has got to be played in the game.

Yeah, it usually doesn't get up until around 4 am for me.

It already is.

Keep in mind Nony/Tyler hasn't truly been practicing very hard for SC2(he's still the WCG US team BW player and whatnot), only about three hours per day. The true test will be MLG Dallas, or some other tournament.

Well, it's very hard for Nony to obtain the same training environment as Idra, Huk, etc. He's married and has commitments. He can't just up and go to Korea like the younger players anymore. So the fact that he is able to take these matches from Idra is impressive in and of itself. I don't think Nony will be able to obtain the same training, so to speak, because realistically that requires the US scene to be as competitive as the Korean scene and I have doubts about that (though MLG is getting things done I suppose). Still, he's probably one of the best SC/SC 2 players the US has ever produced.

Thats the depressing part.

If nony hadn't stasis'd all those tanks prematurely in courage finals, what could have been...?
...probably the same course of events

I think Idra's a better player right now, but he(Idra) does still have weaknesses in his play that's exploitable.
But keep going 'Tyler, lot of us still pushing for you. You gotta work those phoenixes back into your play. HuK has his mothership, you need your signature unit too!

I absolutely can't wait to hear what they have to say about that showmatch. Gonna be fun to listen to since Tyler owned him.

Don't sell yourself short your a great player and you played phenomenally today and i was defiantly able to convert some of my friends into fans because of how good your play was. This really got me looking forward to Dallas can't wait to see you take some names there. Keep it up.
|
Yes I am so happy for Tyler that he won, hoping to see him keep taking names and win tournaments. I just hope he has the will to do it, because if he does, I think he can become the best.
|
Great job Nony! Really impressed with your showing today.
Few questions: Do you have a job besides Starcraft? If so what do you do? and
Is there any chance that you'll go to Korea for one of the GSL's? Your fans are really curious to see how well you'll do. You can even take your wife with you and turn it into your annual vacation.
I'm sure you have your reasons for not going to Korea, but your fans would really appreciate it if you could attempt it at least once. Just think about it

JP, have you ever considered streaming the recording session? So people could listen live if they would like to or download the podcast in the morning.

No, all evidence in agreement. (Edit: Well, all the best evidence. But I guess if the closest you come to following WCG is watching Ultimate Gamer, it's understandable that you wouldn't keep very close tabs on the BW tournament. Sorry, that sounds mean, but I really don't mean it that way! Sadly, BW doesn't get much attention these days, even though it was in WCG.)
