Like a cool drink in the desert, so State of the Game rejuvenates my body and mind.

- 1 Guy like HotBid, Kennigit, Carmac etc. someone who is not a player but still involved in the scene.
- 1 Guy from Korea. At the moment this can be HuK, Jinro, the FXO guys and maybe even someone like MC. In the future Naniwa, Thorzain, SaSe and Fenix could also join!
This way you have someone from every scene present and probably people from different teams. I am so excited for the new show!
You won't get a European unless he lives in NA or KR. SOTG starts at 5 am in Central Europe.

Especially having one guy from Korea and one from Europe. That's absolutely impossible.

Why is that a problem? If i could be on SOTG i would go to bed early and get up early as fuck to be on it if only once, a few europeans have already been on SOTG.

Loads of people, including myself at one point in my life, have to get up way before 5 am to get to work. I don't see any reason a player/e-sports personality could not get up at like 4:30 once a week to be a part of this amazing show.

SOTG should just team up with teamliquid. official teamliquid podcast!
|
Maybe because no one wants to get up at 4am one day a week. I think most EU gamers have a sleeping schedule where they dont get up at 4am. For you guys who are working and getting up every day at 4, it may be okay. But just for one day... I wouldnt wanna do that.

Plenty of Europeans have already been on the show, you guys make it sound like getting up early every once and a while is some sort of tragedy

There is a difference between getting on SOTG as a guest from time to time and being a pillar and having to wake up at 4:30 every week for every SOTG.

We already had lots of Europeans on SotG before. And I am not saying one European should be a Pillar, but you could just change them. A lot of Europeans have already said they would like to be on the show 1 time.
So wake up early or make an all nighter is no problem if it is only 1 time.

Yeah for a one time appearance its ofc okay but I was talking about the impossibility of a European pillar.

SotG was JP's show before he partnered with MLG. Either he went to them asking to partner or they offered him, but it must have somehow been in JP's interest to make the partnership. There are different ways you can view it but I think this is an important perspective to keep in mind.

In SotG Ep.26 @1:58:50 JP says that djWheat was his main inspiration to become a caster. In case some people still implied some kind of tension between the hosts of different shows.

Lol. If I was a pro gamer I definitely would not wake up/stay up till 5 am just to be on a podcast. Get Real!

One thing is waking up once at 5 am, another thing is doing it every week.

Even if you were not getting paid. State of the Game is amazingly popular. A lot of people want to get on it just to get their names out. And when people know you, they want to see more of you (turn in on your stream, tournaments invite them etc.)
