SotG has been constant Protoss discussion and Protoss problems and PvP discussions FOREVER. The only often Zerg opinions are of Gregs imbalance talk and the show is practically Anti-Terran because the very instant a Terran issue might have been brought up Geoffe would smash it down and go on about Marauders or DTs vs Banshees. Every race has it's issues and it sucked that only Protoss's and Zerg's were discussed and the only reasons Zerg's issues were discussed were to amuse Geoffe in his on going struggle to get Greg to admit Zerg isn't UP.
I mean MMA was doing great for a long friggin time but they hardly ever even mentioned his success in the GSTL March or the GSTL May. That's only one example of it I mean yeah they talked about Thorzain but other than him they haven't given hardly any Terrans any credit they deserve.
I just think that the other races will get their opinions heard from now on simply because Geoffe seems to have this passionate hatred for Terran in both BW and SC2 and being a good debater simply just shuts down any type of Terran discussion often saying that Terrans hover around the tops of tournaments so we have no right to complain yet for awhile there it was mostly Zerg and Protoss actually winning all those tournaments.
I just like to hear discussion of something other than PvP for once in a SotG cause I'm pretty sure we all know now that it's kind of a shitty matchup. So was ZvZ in BW so that's just how it works. This is the most annoying thing to me about the SC2 community. EVERYTHING has to be equal, 33/33/33, according to most people, the vast majority of balance whiners. Sorry, but I'm not logging the percentage of discussions centered around each race when I listen to SOTG; I listen because I want to hear intelligent commentary about the game, irrespective of race. No one's missing anything because there have been more protoss players on the show than zerg or terran. You're just creating some arbitrary rule of fairness that shouldn't -- and doesn't -- exist. It's clear that you're a terran player because you're whining about balance and I don't think you even realize it. You even threw up a strawman argument to beat it down, completely irrelevant to the topic. Furthermore, not a shred of evidence was provided for any of your arguments. Can we as a community please stop complaining about balance and fairness, especially when it's irrelevant such as with podcasts created for entertainment value? /rant /sigh Keep on keepin' on, SOTG. You have a great thing going, don't listen to the haters.
Um...what? I play P and from his post I gathered that he would like to hear more discussion about Terran. As it is now nearly every balance/strategy discussion revolves around P and sometimes Z. Whenever T is brought up the topic gets passed around quickly with everyone giving a blank look and a shrug. Wanting to hear more T has nothing to do with balance, the show is about Starcraft and T is one third of Starcraft.

That's not true at all, and again, you're making up some arbitrary rule of fairness. Go make a 33/33/33 show yourself if you don't like the current weight of race discussion on SOTG.

Its true on SOTG they rarely ever discuss terran in depth and like he says, terran is a race in the game and as a result, it deserves discussion.

I think the strategy talk is the most interesting, and it's a fact that terran hasn't been talked about much. The show doesn't need to be split up perfectly between the races, but it would be nice to have all represented and not have PvP discussion every week(though I have enjoyed the PvP discussions).
However, I think Inc is irreplacable for entertainment value, and he will be missed.

Hey JP hopefully you'll see this message amongst all the other discussion. But a lot of us are eagerly waiting for your return with State of the Game. However in anticipation for SotG's return I have gone ahead and created an upgraded overlay. Please let me know which version between Red or Blue and of course each comes with its own variant set of numbered guests to accommodate increased numbers of camera guests. The top two corners offer modules to carry tags for your sponsors or supporters of the show. Below each caster frame is a highlit spot for you to have their Twitter IDs.

I agree with the more terran discussion thing. I mainly think the lack of it is because there are rarely any terrans on. Painuser is the last terran that was on the show but he no longer plays.
On a positive note I love SotG and think JP is doing an amazing job with it.

Can't wait for that next show at [unparsable timestamp format]

Wow those are awesome, hopefully they get used. GJ.

To be fair there aren't really any good NA Terrans... Select maybe. Non-asians don't have the multitasking gene (jk...?)

TLO is a seemingly perfect fit to replace geoff and appease the people craving a terran on the show, mostly because he is taking time off from playing to heal an injury.... if only the time difference wasn't so shitty.... =(

Those overlays are awesome well done sir. I love the Alaska Distillery reference too.

JP just said on stream that he doesn't know when the shows are coming back but that it will be "sooner rather than later."
Sooner can't come fast enough!!!!!

It's true I only really wanted to hear more Terran discussion sorry if it sounded like I mentioned anything about balance.
I just think that there's been a ton of shifts in Terran meta-game particularly in TvP that just weren't ever being brought up as well as Terran player achievements other than Thorzain's TSL games.

I've been trying to find an american Terran player that would provide good insight, so far Iam stuck on Gretorp as the only option. Maybe bring on a zerg?

Those look really cool! I'm sure he will enjoy them or might have some feature requests? I wouldn't let it sit in this thread though. Before you know it, x new pages have spawned and the chance he won't even get to see it will be greatly increased. Just send him a PM to let him know you made this. That way you should be sure he will get to see it.
Edit: edited out 2 pictures from the qoute because of the space it takes up

honestly, why does the race of the player matter? Most weeks they dont talk strategy. And when they do, its normally very little. And as far as balance discussions go, the only time balance is discussed is when idra is on, and I'm assuming he wont be on much anymore.
Most discussion on SOTG is what they think about patches, interesting discussions on threads, and stories about tournaments. They'll cover tournament plays, and upcoming events. When it comes down to it race does not matter. Its the person! Please just get someone who will add great points to discussions, and bring entertainment. Thats why we watch SOTG!

When will SOTG return? I miss my weekly fix.
