TL "rents" rooms to streamers. What they do in their rooms is their own business.

Just look at a person like Joe Rogan - he won't swear when he's commentating the UFC, but he places zero restrictions on his language in his standup or on his podcasts or whatever. And MMA has a whole, or UFC as a mainstream and profitable and increasingly culturally accepted phenonomon, is not negatively effected by this at all... And the Nuked > Japan comment was so funny and so on point and basically shut down the whole "rape" issue. Actually it didn't. There are nuclear weapons in the game, there is not rape in the game. There is no valid reason to use the rape in a professional context

His whole entire approach to language is "I can say whatever I want and no one should be offended by it". It's very childish. Yeah this. Its about behavior more than anything and destiny uses context as nothing more than an excuse for what is nothing more than acting like a 15 year old. Its one thing to swear or say things in the heat of the moment occasionally, its another all together to do it constantly; simply a reflection of his personality which is nothing more than crude.

Also, why are they going on about racial slurs, when the use of "faggot" is so much more common for all of these? Is it uncomfortable or hypocritical, since so many players, casual or pro, use it ad nauseum?

Yet is the most critical person ever of someone censoring themselves ('selling out') to try and cater to mainstream audiences. How can someone not see what is going on.... Uh... what point are you attempting to make? What he said makes perfect sense. He doesn't tone himself down, he gets viewers. He won't sell out even if it gets him more.

You want starcraft culture to associate with gambling culture. There is no situation(outside of its literal meaning) where the word "rape" will be the best word for a given situation. It is even more clear cut in the case of racial slurs. This is about growing up as a culture. If you want to continue to talk like a child, go ahead. Just don't defend your use of language.
