This guy just comes off like a total unprofessional unintellectual douche. You don't get it. His stream is his own personal space. He speaks on it as he would in everyday. And why shouldn't he be exactly who he is on his stream? He specifically said if he was casting a tournament... or something like that, where he was representing someone else or the community as a whole he would censor himself... I just don't get what the hell Geoff is going on about.
That some language is still unacceptable. Geoff isn't saying that Destiny doesn't have the right to use that language, but rather that it is better if he didn't
Certain words have an inherent violence behind them, in a very real way. The word rape is unacceptable in any other sport/venue and if sc2 wants to be taken seriously then we need to treat language the same way. Not to mention racial slurs in a community that is almost entirely white (in the west).

The whole Destiny v. Inc (or whoever) is such a silly argument. Destiny won't change; but, then again, Destiny is not a major tournament caster. Clearly we should not use certain words in "mainstream" tournaments, but Destiny's channel is Destiny's channel.
That being said, as a former forensics (the speaking kind) and debate competitor, Geoff's tone reminds me so much of a "debater tone." It is very condescending, and I think that it weakens his argument. Geoff, good public speaking is not the same as what won you rounds in HS/college.

This whole "you have to represent E-sports even on personal streams" issue of Incontrol's is just misplaced and wrong. Just look at a person like Joe Rogan - he won't swear when he's commentating the UFC, but he places zero restrictions on his language in his standup or on his podcasts or whatever. And MMA has a whole, or UFC as a mainstream and profitable and increasingly culturally accepted phenonomon, is not negatively effected by this at all...
And the Nuked > Japan comment was so funny and so on point and basically shut down the whole "rape" issue.
