Leah is also really involved in the fighting game community coverage, right?

If it was such a big deal, wouldnt you think alot more would cry out? There was a pretty big outcry to the when cheese fails segment on NASL mostly because of the excessive use of the word rape iirc.

once again day9 shows us his wisdom. got out when the gettin' was good!

Haven't liked G4 since they destroyed TechTV, and every time I try to watch since it just gets worse and worse.

make destiny a regular he adds excitement and is not afraid to speak his mind.

You see? They just spent like 2 minutes on Heart of the Swarm new units/removing units/tweaking units and only Geoff was asked. What is the deal with the balance of discussion topics on this show? ;x

The fact of the matter is that the two streams that pull the highest consistent numbers both contain offensive language and when it's used, we laugh about it and enjoy it. IdrA's language represents the SC2 community more than anyone else's.
99% of idra's "bm" is telling other players they are bad. Not really offensive to anyone. The occasional "waste of life" isn't taken seriously by anyone who isn't an idiot. If idra had the option to let someone die or to save their life, do people really think he would let someone like cruncher die because he dislikes him in a video game?

she seems so sad
it is just me...fighting by myself

does leah realize that g4 isn't a gaming channel anymore, it's purely cops?

Fuck no. Make destiny a major voice of the community and watch the sponsors flee.

Certain channels on TV cater to the general audience and are censored (any major cable network).
Others (HBO, Showcase) cater to a small specific audience. Nothing is censored... there is sex, violence, swearing, whatever you can think of.
That's the difference between incontrol and destiny.
Destiny's stream caters to his viewers... they enjoy his personality and use of language. He can't change or he will suffer in viewership.
He specifically said if he was catering to a public audience (casting a tournament for example) he would censor himself.

His whole entire approach to language is "I can say whatever I want and no one should be offended by it". It's very childish. Yeah this. Its about behavior more than anything and destiny uses context as nothing more than an excuse for what is nothing more than acting like a 15 year old. Its one thing to swear or say things in the heat of the moment occasionally, its another all together to do it constantly; simply a reflection of his personality which is nothing more than crude.
the crux of the argument is you're not forced to listen to him be crude. ever. you have the option of many other streams, or many other tournaments, if you disagree with the language standards somewhere.

It's reminiscent of the argument that you shouldn't make jokes about the Holocaust, before The Producers came out.

yea its real important to discuss in detail a few units from the single player campaign that may never see competitive play because the game isn't even in beta yea.

get him off the page !!!
TL "rents" rooms to streamers. What they do in their rooms is their own business.
well, I hope it's worth the money
