It sucks but that's how it is.
Isn't that a blatant contradiction though? He had to cut one, the one that he wasn't sponsored by his team. You can beat around the bush all you want, he picked ITG over SOTG as his show for professional, but logical reasons.
My point is that saying he quit SotG for ItG is only a partial view on the actual situation, and thus illogical to draw any sort of conclusion from.
Agreed. However, I believe a lot of people making the same claim are aware of those reasons as well.

But the last statement about IdrA was kind of weird though don't you think.
They said that IdrA has been cleared / given permission to appear on next week's SOTG. By that statement alone ( unless someone spoke wrongly), IdrA is forbidden to appear on SOTG. Seeing as Geoff and IdrA is from the same team...
Unless cleared was a very funny way of saying that IdrA will be free to appear next week but I somehow doubt it.
i wish JP would of integrated some Commercials to raise some money for the Hosts :/ mayb Inc would not of left if it drew in some money... Really sucks to hear that he will be gone next week and that SOTG will go an a break, I really love the show (except for inviting Huk on today lol)
I honestly think I care about this podcast more than the majority of the leagues and tournaments going on so obviously not too happy after watching the latest episode. Inside the game doesn't really feel like it's on SotGs level either even if they're going for something different.
on a lot of maps anything you can do with a warp prism harass wise you can do with a pylon. the pylon costs 100 less minerals and doesn't take robo time. the units that can be carried in a prism but not warped in (immortal + collossus) are generally not used for harassment and are also very expensive.
if they have the vision around their base to stop the pylon then they should have the vision to see the warp prism coming and react somewhat. and as it has been mentioned often already the warp prism is really fragile
PS: i'm not claiming warp prisms are terrible or anything. just saying if you couldn't use a pylon outside of a base to warp in on the high ground we would probably see a lot more warp prisms
really sucks geoff has to leave the show. I cant say i dont understand though he is involved in a lot of organizations and controversial things always come up on the show so what is he supposed to do
I dont come from a SC:BW background but from a Wc3 background. And i had not heard about incontrol before sotg. But i have listend to it since late 2010 and that has really made me a fan of incontrol. And i think he has alot of his new fans thanks to sotg so it feels like a bad move to leave it. But he is a really busy man and sotg is probably not highest on his priority list. So im sad that he leaves but i hope they can replace him and keep the quality of entertainment up in the show.
I tried to listen to ITG but i feel the show is not really for me since i dont aspire to become a better sc2 player, just want to be entertained.
I just thought of this Geoff gained a lot of popularity through his community acts. Especially SOTG. Just see last year whereby his results were not spectacular. His profile increase by a 100x because of SOTG. Since now he has himself on a higher platform, he is leaving the platform that raised him up? I know now he has many other platforms such as ITG and NASL but i feel that he may lose fans due to his slow lack of community involvement. Fans are good for his sponsors and his team.
Just my thoughts and i know that fans are not the most important. Winning competitions also can help him gain much fame. I felt that Geoff had built a personality of community involvement and he seems to back down from that a little by leaving SOTG. Anyway this a fact set in stone and i hope that Geoff succeds in whatever he does and SOTG can progress well. my 2 cents
make it a different day that SotG ... I will never have the time/patience to watch them both in one day ... they would get so many more viewers on a different night

I can imagine that, by cleared they could be referring to his schedule.
Incontrol has been what made the show so awesome, IMO. His humour drove the show to be the unique, hilarious, often tasteless carnival of fun that it has been. This all really bummed me out.

You guys are really, really, REALLY reading to much into their choice of words.
I think Geoff is a busy guy, with a lot on his plate.
I get Incontrols reasons for leaving and I think that's a good choice to make, he probably will come back from time to time I bet and I mean he's still "here" so idk I don't mind this. I didn't enjoy the cast tonight mainly because of huk being invited on, I feel like he's got that "i live in Korea...all about Korea and everything Korea, so yea" vibe to him similar to idra, feels more hostile than welcoming on the show which really sucks. Overall it was a okay episode I guess and hopefully there big show next week wont disappoint even though idra will be on I hope things don't get all heated and bitchy. GL incontrol on putting more into your play, can't wait to see you improve from the extra time training!

Indeed, it is to be expected. It is certainly better for him in almost all aspects... Geoff is bogged down with casting all day, ITG then SOTG, and all the traveling hes been doing for Intel. Geoff is making the right decision leaving SOTG. However, it still bums me out Sad panda is sad.
