really sad and wish we got better context on eg/sponsors reasoning for limiting their players to one podcast/show or limiting them from non-controversial ones. Idiots always seemed to be bitching about professionalism and stuff, saying SC2 will never explode without it, so I guess they got their wish.

I'm just surprised that out of the two shows that he does on Tuesdays, he decides to stop doing SOTG over ITG. SOTG just seems to fit his personality better. I guess the fact that EG/onemoregame partner up for a lot of their content might have contributed, but it's just a sad situation. Hopefully both shows will continue to do well in the future.

I think its pretty naive to assume that Geoff doesn't stand to make more $$ from ItG, but this certainly can't be the only reason he would choose ItG over SotG. He is just a really busy person in e-sports world now; he even mentioned having to fly back and forth across the country to do appearances, commercial, etc. earlier in the broadcast

But we suck it up and send you love because this doesn't signal the end of your career, no it only means you're getting better and finding incredible success. A personal request though and it may go without saying. Please find an amazing replacement not someone who would dare and try to emulate yourself but a face to breath life into the community every week there on state of the game.

It sucks but that's how it is. Isn't that a blatant contradiction though? He had to cut one, the one that he wasn't sponsored by his team. You can beat around the bush all you want, he picked ITG over SOTG as his show for professional, but logical reasons.

My point is that saying he quit SotG for ItG is only a partial view on the actual situation, and thus illogical to draw any sort of conclusion from.

My best guess is that it has something to do with what these two quotes talk about... Basically it comes down to the fact that iNcontroL is a representative of many different organizations now and the "controversy" that State of the Game brings is not in the best interest of the organizations that he represents. If this is true, which I am completely guessing here so it could very well NOT be true, I think this move actually hurts the organizations that iNcontroL represents because State of the Game is probably what gives him the most exposure in the SC2 community. Sure a lot of people watch NASL but casting and being on a talk show do not equate to the same amount of personal interest in a caster/host from their respective audiences. You really get to know Geoff for who he is (as much as you can without knowing him in real life anyway) on State of the Game, you only get to know iNcontroL the caster on NASL. Regardless of the reason, all of us iNcontroL fans will remain fans and I'm sure everyone will support him in whatever he does (I know I will!), as he produces tons of great aside from State of the Game. Best of luck Geoff! Hopefully State of the Game can continue being awesome without you (I really hope to see Day[9] more now that he is committing to SC2 full time). As a side note: ANOTHER BREAK?!?!?! ugh... lol. First I hear that iNcontroL is only doing one more episode, then you break it to me that there won't be any more State of the Game's at all "for a while"? Man I'm so sad ![]()
