Thanks for keeping us updated, both here and on the site.

gutted, I was trying to see how the foreigners in korea were doing!!!

Sorry about that, the servers back, I'm checking it now to see if there's anything wrong with it to prevent the site from coming back up.

Looks like a harddrive failed. The raid rebuilt itself and nothing was lost as far as I can tell, but a drive will likely need to get replaced so there might be a short (30 - 60 minute) downtime again while the server hosts do that.
The sites been brought back up, but all of the updaters are disabled until the drive is replaced. It will be slow for a few hours I imagine while everything gets recached on the DB.

All promotions & demotions are shown in wrong places in 'Team points and world ranking graph'. This problem first appeared around Oct 3 or Oct 4. The initial placement is not shown anymore in the graph. When the first promotion/demotion occurs in the graph the initial placement league is shown instead of the new league. For all later promotions/demotions always the previous league is shown instead of the new league. The current league of the player is not shown when the promotion/demotion actually happened but in the end of the graph.
This bug seems to affect generally at least all 1v1 graphs. I posted a detailed example as private message on Oct 4 to Shadowed (did not post it here as it was based on information of my own account).

Been busy, it should be fixed but it'll take a few hours for cache to flush.

Downtime scheduled for 10/24 from 11 PM until 2 AM PDT. Updates might be slightly delayed after it comes back up, but there shouldn't be any issues beyond that.

Shadowed, is it possible to fetch previous season data for players using the API?
|
|
*Could* it be possible? Something like 'highest ranking / division' ?
|
Not really, no. It's not stored under the assumption of being easy to pull out arbitrarily like that.
|
Are we allowed to scrape profiles in that case?
Also - at what volume are you throttling api calls? Are there any guidelines to go by when running a large volume of calls?

Btw, Yenta, dunno if you noticed, but a lot of profiles on the CSL that didn't link to sc2ranks webpage now link there. I'm talking about players who only put their character name + character code in and not their bnet profile page.

Because I rewrote the script It does a query on name + code and if it gets a match it updates the bnet_id for easier queries next time around.

When will the data for Season 4 be available?
|
In a second, I'm resetting it now
|
Actually i just noticed battle.net shows the old data too, will we have to wait for them to update before sc2ranks starts functioning?
|
It'll depend on the region, only KR/TW and SEA haven't gone over to S4 yet and they should swap tonight I believe.
|
Americas, SEA and China have been reset. KR/TW and Europe should follow shortly.
Replays will now be pulled from ReplayFu as well.
