A. Starter Edition players can only play up to the fourth campaign mission, and most Challenge Missions are unavailable. Starter Edition players are also unable to use versus and co-op matchmaking, most custom maps, chat channels, and the party system. Publishing custom maps to Battle.net is also restricted, and offline play is unavailable to Starter Edition players. For single-player and custom games, Starter Edition players may only choose the Terran race.
You cannot play ladder with the Starter Edition only the first 3 missions and an optional 4th, you can play a custom game with one of the starter maps, but not on the ladder, which is possible with a guest pass.

I wouldn't mind having a US guest pass. I feel like playing a little bit on the ladder until I buy it because I haven't played in a long time.

I'd really like a EU guest pass if someone has one. I already gave both of mine away. 
It's for purely selfish reasons, as I'm switching races to zerg. Getting a little frustrated after a dozen straight losses and still getting matched up against diamond players when my zerg is more like silver or gold level. Thinking that being able to do my placements and spending 7 hours playing opponents around my skill level will bring me up to speed faster than just being steam rolled constantly.

looking to get a start on the NA ladder, played the starter edition but after playing the ladder before i commit to buying a full game as money is tight.
