I have also had this "Prepaid" error but I tried a method that was mentioned on the blizzard forums and I can finally get into the beta now.
You need to create a WoW trial account onto your existing Blizzard account. If you already have a WoW account then you need to make a Classic WoW account. It wouldn't let me add a WotLK trial but it did let me add a Classic WoW trial. As soon as you add the trial you should be able to get into the beta.

Same here, got -1. The 3 opponents I faced were already ranked. It started out saying I only needed 2 placement matches to be ranked, is this correct?
EDIT: apparently old issue, I'll go play my other placement matches...

i also have this issue. it worked flawlessly in phase 1 and my build unit hotkeys work fine, however the control group keys refuse to work frequently in the new patch. i highly doubt it is a hardware issue but i'm currently reinstalling and i'll report back if it fixes the issue.

got to 98% through the updating process and ecountered this error during the writing process.
The patch "base\Mods\Liberty.SC2Mod\Base.SC2Data\TriggerLibs\MeleeAI.galaxy" could not be applied. (CRC mismatch: expected 0xb9a6a099, actual 0x8f94fc10.)(PTCApply_BSDiff failed.) If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (BNUpdate: TCApply)
Upon this problem occuring, the updater aborts the download.

Not sure this is something to do with new patch but it's worth to ask. I have a EU and NA account and yesterday I played fine with my NA account using gateswitcher.
When I tried it today it always freezes when I press login.
Somebody else encountered this problem?

It shouldn't matter. It can take some time, so I'd say give it a bit and try again.

I have an issue connecting unrelated to the "prepaid" issue. Each time I try to connect I receive the:
"Battle.net is down for maintenance. Please try again later." error.
When I continue to attempt to connect, the error changes to the:
"Battle.net may be temporarily unavailable or your internet connection may be down. Please check your connection and try again."
I'm in the US, and have a US client. Many of my friends, some of which live on the same street, are able to connect with no problems. I've tried restarting my computer multiple times, and I'm at a loss as to what to do. I've seen that some others have a similar problem, but haven't seen any fixes.
Does anyone have any suggestions? This is very frustrating, heh.

I actually had to play 8 placement matches before getting placed. My counter was at -5 before it finally worked

Yeah, myself and my rl friend were getting that last night. Your main has snow geysers but all other gas nodes look normal.
