Day9, not only because he's totally awesome but because he becomes really excited when he's talking about stuff that's happening, and he loves the game as much as you do!
djWHEAT, love all of his shows, he speaks from his heart.
TheGunrun, because he is TheGunrun!

Day9 is easily the best.

Husky and HD are entertaining but they do miss alot of things and don't really know the mindset of the progamers so when they make predictions they are normally wrong.

Not so much commentators but streamers....

LzGamer is cool when he streams. He does alot of interaction with his viewers.

Orb is funny when he rages.

Debo is funny too and tries some unothoradox strats.

Fallen is good too.

Tbh, Husky is kinda fading for me atm, he should stop doing "watch Husky beat random noobs" casts. So a party of three zergs with shared control can lingrush three random partners, yeah, that is a huge shocker.
forgottendreams: One underage girl, two drunk guys, one gogo dancer and starcraft 2. Apparently just another day in Europe.

He said a few weeks ago he has to have "unique" content in order to start selling google ads on his youtube account, thus more Husky casts. I agree though.

PsyStarcraft on youtube.

Plays a bunch of games against USA pros, and is consistently rank1 (if that shit even matters to you).

I feel like his micro is decent. He had a nice series with Moo and a bunch of games against gretorp, axslav, drewbie, moonglade, sheth.

I am sure he has played all these people. I would say the entertainment factor is definitely part of his casts but staring at day9's face all day is not entertaining to me.

HD = overdramatic
Husky = shouter, loud

I still watch both their vods on youtube though usually. good players = dont mean you gotta listen to the commentary.

ALSO - mancatcher on youtube. freakin crazy ass games and a style that i have not seen and never will see again.

Then Husky should focus on doing interviews like the incontrol one, maybe interviewing then on skype while reviewing games with them, he wouldnt need to actually meet up with them.

Ganking randoms isnt really unique.

I only watched Rise once but I found him very unprofessional and annoying to watch.

Outside of the traditional casters, I really like JP, he's been doing a great job lately. Check out the State of the Game podcast, great stuff.

Gotta say Rise, HD and Husky just don't know enough about the game and their comments are often completely wrong and they simply miss alot of key information in the game (Upgrades, expos, unit combos...)

Gretorp is fun to watch as the others have said he tells us what he's thinking/doing as he plays, Day9 obviously and though I'm not personally a fan of Orb's commentary its still something to watch for its play.

As someone who just recently came to the SC2 stream community I will say:

Day[9] and Chill
HDStarcraft and Husky
Gretorp
and Goatroap for a fun time

Also there is a British guy I listened to once that was really good but I don't remember his name, any ideas?

As for everyone saying orb, he is entertaining if painuser is there with him but overall he need a LOT of practice to provide any kind of decent commentary.

That probably won't work. You can't get Youtube partnership if the majority of what you show is game footage (unless you are a reviewer, even then it's pretty hard). The obvious exception to this is Machinima.com. Youtube needs to change its rules otherwise you won't make any money off of it with shoutcasting.

This will exemplify the crazy mind that is Psy:

You have not seen this kind of early psychological warfare exchanged by both players at the start of the game:

Day[9] and Gretorp <3

Something is odd about Gretorp's livestream acc tho, he mostly uploads VODs with no sound or just clips that are 1-10 seconds long =/

Other then that he is at par with day[9] and when they work together (asia vs europe) it's beautiful =)

go watch the klazart commentary of the Korean Air OSL that just took place

For SC2, as has been said numerous times, Day9 is the best to listen to for understanding the game.

Cool, Psy and HD will actually play each other in a 4vs4, that should bring some much deserved publisity to Psy.

Also, it will be cool if both parties shoutcast the game, that could show some of the differences in how they commentate, and how they think about the game.
