Dude, I'm truly not looking to start a flame war because I can see where you're coming from, but could you please elaborate? You're saying Artosis gives dishonestly "optimistic" interviews because he loves Starcraft and e-sports enough to make it his lively-hood? I know for a fact he's the kind of guy that would hate SC2. If he didn't have a stake in its success and was still just some gamer in America he'd be on these forums complaining about how shitty the micro is and how awful MBS and automining is and how SC1 is a vastly superior competitive platform. He's less interested in the games now though and more interested in being the guy that gets paid to appear interested and generate content and commentary about those games. So these interviews are really stupid and annoying to read. They're not really interviews with Artosis, he's not being himself, he's being the political guy that he thinks will maximize his success as that guy with esports opinions who generates content etc. | ||

It's just really unfortunate because he truly does have a great RTS mind and his true opinion is something that I actually would be very interested in hearing, but I definitely haven't read it anywhere yet. | ||

SC2 at this stage in its life is so amazing compared to SC1 at the same age. also, the macro and micro still exist, people saying they don't should be #1 in their platinum leagues cuz the game is so ez amirite? | ||

If it is too easy why aren't you #1? If it is not fun why are so many watching the streams or why are now alomost 100.000 (30000 on each server) beta testers online? If it is not balanced enough why are all the matchup statistics almost 50:50? For all people who do not like SC2 there is also a Broodwar Forum on this site... Yes we can complain about certain aspects that can be improved on SC2 but i if you think it is just a shitty game just stay away from it! i find posts like the 2 from kentucky, where he complains that artosis does not hate sc2 enough, just embarrassing... | ||

It's only fun cuz it's new and exciting cuz so many people are on (for those 100.000 I suppose)....the latency is crap, b.net #2 is crap, the ladder system is crap, the seperation is crap.... so many things involving actual gameplay, but latency and server based lag is biggest annoyance, game is very unresponsive compared to sc1 iccup/hamachi/lan. esports/the SC name and SC1's history as a constantly evolving game is enough to save sc2 anyway and with enough patching it might turn into something ~ who knows. | ||
